Devara Box Office Collection Day 1: Worldwide, India, and Hindi Figures (Jr NTR Starrer)

Devra Box Office: Historic Opening and Massive Growth

Junior NTR’s film Devra has made a significant impact at the box office. The movie received an historic opening on its first day, with first-day collections exceeding ₹7 crore. This strong performance continued into the second day, with collections again breaking records.

Initially, there was low buzz for Devra in the Hindi market, with predictions of only ₹4-5 crore for the first day’s collection. However, the film surprised expectations by earning approximately double on its opening day in Hindi. The second-day collections in the Hindi version showed a significant growth. Devra is confirmed to be a major blockbuster in Telugu and a super-duper hit in the Hindi market. With no new Bollywood films releasing until October 11, the film has strong potential to earn ₹100 crore in the Hindi market alone, further boosted by the Gandhi Jayanti holiday on October 2 and the upcoming Sunday.

Devra, made on a budget of ₹300 crore, was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Its South Indian collections are record-breaking, and the Hindi collections have surpassed all expectations, showing an increase from day one to day two due to positive public reviews.

Devra Day-wise and Total Collections:

  • Hindi Net Collection:
    • Day 1: ₹7 crore 35 lakh
    • Day 2: ₹8 crore 50 lakh (estimated for Saturday, showing good growth in morning, afternoon, evening, and night shows)
    • Total 2-day Hindi Net: ₹15 crore 85 lakh
  • Hindi Gross Collection (2 Days): ₹18 crore 75 lakh

The Hindi theatrical rights for Devra were approximately ₹15 crore. For the film to be considered a Superhit in the Hindi market, it needs to achieve ₹35-40 crore in gross collections. Having already grossed over ₹18 crore in just two days, it is set to be a blockbuster in the Hindi market.

All India and Worldwide Collections:

  • All India Day 1 Net (5 languages): ₹78 crore 54 lakh (a blockbuster opening)
  • All India Day 2 Net (5 languages): Approximately ₹62 crore 50 lakh. While Hindi collections grew, films in South Indian markets often see a drop on the second day after a strong opening. Devra experienced about a 22% drop in occupancy on its second day in its main Telugu states.
  • Total 2-day All India Net: ₹141 crore 4 lakh
  • Total 2-day All India Gross: ₹167 crore 83 lakh
  • Overseas Gross Collection: ₹8 crore 92 lakh
  • Total 2-day Worldwide Box Office: ₹226 crore 75 lakh

To achieve a ‘Hit’ status at the box office, Devra needs a gross collection of ₹360 crore. It is anticipated that the film might reach this ‘Hit’ collection milestone by its third day. Speculations regarding its lifetime collection range from ₹500 crore to ₹600-700 crore, or even ₹1000 crore.

The film has completed 24 days.
