Shaitaan Box Office Performance: Eight-Day Worldwide Collections

The horror-drama film Shaitaan, directed by Vikas Bahl and featuring Ajay Devgn, R Madhavan, and Jyothika, was produced with a budget of ₹60 crore. The film achieved super-duper hit status, earning more than double its budget worldwide within its initial eight days. It secured a strong opening day, followed by good weekend collections and improved weekday performance. In its second week, Shaitaan’s screen count was significantly reduced to approximately 40% of its first-week screens due to new film releases. Despite fewer screens, the film maintained strong occupancy and continued to generate significant earnings on its eighth day.

Shaitaan India Net and Gross Collections Update

Ajay Devgn’s Shaitaan accumulated an India net collection of ₹75 crore 78 lakh in its first six days. On its seventh day, the film added ₹5 crore 25 lakh to its India net collection. The eighth day (second Friday) saw an India net collection of ₹4 crore 50 lakh. The total all-India net collection for Shaitaan over eight days stands at ₹86 crore 53 lakh. Its India gross collection crossed the ₹100 crore mark, reaching ₹102 crore within eight days.

Shaitaan Overseas and Global Box Office Total

From the overseas market, Shaitaan has collected ₹22 crore. Combining its India gross and overseas earnings, Shaitaan’s total worldwide box office collection after eight days has reached ₹124 crore. With a budget of ₹60 crore, the film is considered a superhit.

Yodha’s First Day Box Office Collection and Budget Details

Sidharth Malhotra’s film Yodha was produced with a cost of production (COP) of ₹50 crore, plus ₹10 crore for print and advertising (P&A), bringing its total budget to ₹60 crore. Before its release, Yodha’s makers generated ₹52 crore from the sale of digital, satellite, and music rights. Digital streaming rights were sold for ₹27 crore, satellite rights for ₹19 crore, and music rights for ₹6 crore. The film was released globally on approximately 3000 screens. On its first day, Yodha received a morning show occupancy of 12-13% in India. However, strong positive word-of-mouth boosted bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows.

Yodha First Day India and Worldwide Earnings

Early estimates indicate Yodha’s first-day India net collection is approximately ₹6 crore. The film’s first-day India gross collection stands at ₹7 crore 10 lakh. In the overseas market, Yodha collected approximately ₹1 crore 50 lakh on its opening day. Globally, Yodha’s first-day worldwide box office collection totaled ₹8 crore 60 lakh. To be considered a clean hit at the box office, the film needs to achieve a minimum India net collection of ₹80 crore.
