The Goat Box Office Collection Day 3: Thalapathy Vijay's The Greatest Of All Time Worldwide Earnings

The GOAT’s Record-Breaking Four-Day Box Office Performance

Thalapathy Vijay’s film, The Greatest Of All Time (The GOAT), has earned over ₹300 crore in just four days at the box office. The movie, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, achieved record-breaking collections across all five languages. Released globally on September 5th on approximately 5000 screens, its box office earnings significantly surpassed expectations based on its screen count. In comparison, Shah Rukh Khan’s films “Jawan” and “Pathaan” were released on around 7-8000 screens, yet The GOAT demonstrated superior collection on fewer screens.

In the Hindi market, The GOAT was released on only 1000 screens for its Hindi dubbed version. The film’s maximum collection originated from South Indian languages. Internationally, the movie surpassed the earnings of films from other Bollywood superstars, excluding Shah Rukh Khan’s ventures. Despite receiving mixed reviews from the South and decent reviews from Hindi audiences, the film’s collections showed no significant drop.

The GOAT Day-Wise and Total Collections

The GOAT opened with an impressive ₹100 crore-plus on its first day. Collections experienced a slight dip on the second day. However, the third day, a Saturday coinciding with Ganesh Chaturthi, saw a substantial jump in collections. The film’s third-day All India net collection reached ₹35 crore 57 lakh. The fourth day, being a Sunday, witnessed an exceptional box office performance. The fourth-day All India net collection is reported at ₹42 crore 50 lakh. Occupancy on the fourth day, in some areas, was even better than the first and third days, with afternoon, evening, and night show bookings in Tamil Nadu reaching 80% housefull.

For its initial two days, the All India net collection across all five languages was ₹90 crore 5 lakh. Over the first four days, the film’s All India net collection accumulated to ₹157 crore 12 lakh, with an All India gross collection of ₹186 crore 97 lakh. The GOAT has also performed strongly in overseas markets, crossing the ₹100 crore mark. Its total gross collection from the overseas market stands at ₹113 crore 48 lakh. Consequently, the film’s total worldwide box office collection for the first four days reached ₹300 crore 45 lakh. The film’s budget is approximately ₹375 crore, and it is projected to cover this budget within 5-6 days.

The GOAT North India Box Office

In North India, The GOAT, including its Hindi dubbed version and Tamil/Telugu versions in multiplexes, was released on 1000 screens. The film’s North India net collection for the initial two days was ₹4 crore 70 lakh. On the third day, the North India collection was ₹3 crore 12 lakh. The Hindi market’s total India net collection for the first four days is ₹11 crore 32 lakh, with a gross collection of ₹13 crore 45 lakh. Zee Studios acquired the Hindi theatrical rights for ₹15 crore.

Surya Saturday Box Office Update

Nani’s action-packed Telugu film, Surya Saturday (Saripodaa Sanivaaram), released recently in Telugu, other South languages, and Hindi. While its performance in the Hindi market was not notable, the film has garnered significant collections in South languages and the worldwide market, nearing the ₹100 crore milestone. The film, made with a budget of approximately ₹90 crore, has been in cinemas for 11 days.

The film’s India net collection for its initial nine days was ₹54 crore 22 lakh. On the 10th day, a second Saturday, it collected ₹4 crore 84 lakh. On the 11th day, a Sunday, occupancy improved compared to the previous day, contributing an estimated ₹4 crore 50 lakh. Given that its distributor rights were sold at lower prices relative to its budget, Surya Saturday is considered a clean hit at the box office.
