Sky Force Box Office: A Record-Breaking Start in 2025

Akshay Kumar’s film Sky Force has marked a tremendous start for Bollywood in 2025, breaking the first-day collection records of all films released this year so far. The film has even surpassed the first-day collection of Ram Charan’s Game Changer. Sky Force has taken a blockbuster opening not just in India but across the globe.

Sky Force First Day Collection Report

On its first day, Sky Force achieved an India net collection of ₹12.5 crore. The film’s India gross collection for the first day stands at ₹14.87 crore. In the overseas market, Sky Force collected ₹3.5 crore on its opening day. This brings the total first-day worldwide box office collection for Sky Force to an impressive ₹18.37 crore. This performance establishes Sky Force as the biggest opening of 2025 from the Hindi market, surpassing previous 2025 Bollywood releases like Fateh, Emergency, and Azad, which had openings around ₹2-3 crore, and also exceeding Game Changer‘s first-day Hindi collection of approximately ₹8.5 crore.

Sky Force Screen Count and Budget Details

Sky Force was released on approximately 3000 screens in India and around 1000 screens internationally, totaling roughly 4000 screens worldwide. The film’s total budget is stated to be ₹80 crore.

Pre-Release Recovery for Sky Force

Before its release, Sky Force achieved significant financial recovery through various rights sales. The digital rights for the film were sold for ₹55 crore, while the satellite rights fetched ₹32 crore. Additionally, the music rights contributed ₹10 crore. This resulted in a total pre-release recovery of ₹97 crore, meaning the producers had already earned a profit of ₹17 crore before the film even hit the cinemas.

Sky Force Day 1 Performance: India and Worldwide

On its release day, Sky Force received a strong response in morning shows, with houseful screenings in major cities like Mumbai and Delhi. Bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows also remained solid. The film’s occupancy across multiplexes and single screens was significantly higher, performing four times better than other 2025 releases such as Fateh, Emergency, and Azad. Positive reviews from critics released a day prior contributed to the strong opening.

Upcoming Collection Trends for Sky Force

Following its strong opening, Sky Force is expected to see a significant jump in collections on Saturday, which is a half-holiday. The collections are projected to be even more substantial on Sunday, coinciding with January 26th. It is anticipated that Sky Force could surpass its ₹80 crore budget within its first three days of release.
