Fighter Box Office: 11-Day Worldwide Collections Soar
Superstar Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone’s film “Fighter,” released last week, achieved good earnings in its first week. Following an initial good opening on January 25, the film’s collections were excellent on January 26, 27, and 28. However, the film experienced a significant drop at the box office from Monday, leading to initial concerns about its performance. Despite this, “Fighter” began to make huge money again in its second weekend, with second-week collections exceeding expectations. This trend was noted due to no new Bollywood films releasing in its second week, making “Fighter” an available option for audiences.
Fighter’s 11-Day Box Office Performance
In its initial 10 days, “Fighter” garnered an India net collection of 165 crore 27 lakh. On its 11th day, a Sunday, the film’s morning shows saw occupancy only 30% less than its first day. Bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows were also solid, indicating superb occupancy for the entire day. Reports suggest “Fighter” collected an India net collection of 14 crore 50 lakh on its 11th day.
The total all-India net collection for “Fighter” over 11 days surpassed 180 crore. The film’s India gross collection reached 214 crore, successfully crossing the 200 crore mark. Its overseas collection stands at 87 crore. Combining these figures, “Fighter” has achieved a worldwide box office collection of 301 crore in 11 days, surpassing the 300 crore milestone. With a budget of 250 crore, the film is expected to continue its performance, potentially reaching a lifetime collection of 350 or 400 crore or even more.
Salaar Final Box Office Collections
Prabhas’s film “Salaar,” directed by Prashanth Neel, was released on December 25 last year and is now out of cinemas. The film’s final box office figures show a Hindi gross collection in India of 218 crore. Its all-India gross collection across five languages was 627 crore. Globally, “Salaar” achieved a worldwide box office collection of 730 crore. The budget for “Salaar Part 1” was approximately 250 crore, out of a combined 400 crore budget set by the makers for both Part 1 and Part 2. With a worldwide earning of 730 crore against a 250 crore budget for Part 1, the film was a superhit.
Bade Miyan Chote Miyan: Eid Release & Competition Dynamics
Action film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” starring Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff, is set for an Eid release. Initially, it faced competition from Ajay Devgn’s “Maidaan,” which had less buzz and a theme perceived as less impactful. A significant challenge for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” was Junior NTR’s “Devara,” which had good buzz among South Indian and Hindi audiences, and was slated for release on April 5, just 5-6 days before “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan.” This would have affected screen availability for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” in the Hindi market.
However, “Devara”‘s release date has been postponed from April 5, a fact now confirmed with Vijay Deverakonda’s “Family Star” being announced for that date. This postponement provides a major advantage for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan,” as it eliminates the competition from “Devara” in terms of screen share in the Hindi market. Reports indicate that “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is expected to secure an opening of at least 50 crore on its first day, with potential to become a big blockbuster if it receives positive reviews.
