Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 15 Worldwide: Ranveer Singh Film vs Avatar 3 Update

Dhurandhar Box Office Collection Day 15 Worldwide: Ranveer Singh Film vs Avatar 3 Update

Dhurandhar Box Office: ₹800 Crore Crossed, Nearing ₹1000 Crore Mark

The film Dhurandhar has crossed the ₹800 crore mark at the box office and is now fully prepared to earn ₹1000 crore. Dhurandhar is currently in its third week in cinemas, with the major film Avatar 3 having been released during this period. Although Dhurandhar’s screens have been reduced due to Avatar 3’s release, its box office collections continue to increase at a rapid pace. Dhurandhar was released in cinemas on December 5. Upon release, the film began making splendid collections at the box office. Its worldwide box office collections became substantial within the first week.

Dhurandhar’s Record-Breaking Second Week Performance

Dhurandhar achieved unprecedented earnings in its second week, a collection milestone unmatched by any film in the history of Indian cinema to date. The film’s second-week collections surpassed those of Pushpa 2, Jawan, and Animal. No South Indian or Bollywood film has earned more in its second week until now. The film achieved record-breaking earnings in its first two weeks without significant competition. However, with the start of Dhurandhar’s third week, Avatar 3 was released, leading to expectations of a decline in Dhurandhar’s collections. This did not happen; despite Avatar 3 taking more screens, Dhurandhar continues to make record-breaking collections in its third week with fewer screens. It is projected that Dhurandhar’s lifetime box office collection will easily surpass ₹1000 crore and will earn beyond this figure in the coming days.

Dhurandhar 16-Day Worldwide Box Office Collections

The action thriller film Dhurandhar, starring Ranveer Singh, Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, is currently in its third week in cinemas. The film’s third-week collections are notable, with earnings that many major Bollywood films did not achieve in their first week. This performance suggests the film will maintain its strong box office run for the next few weeks, with potential for even better collections in its fourth week after the third, especially with no major Bollywood releases scheduled for the upcoming week.

Dhurandhar accumulated an India net collection of ₹218 crore in its first week (initial 7 days). Its earnings further increased in the second week, achieving an India net collection of ₹261.50 crore. Dhurandhar’s second-week collection is the highest ever for any film, surpassing previous records. Before Dhurandhar, Pushpa 2 held the record with approximately ₹200 crore, followed by Animal with around ₹140 crore, and Jawan with about ₹137 crore in their respective second weeks. Dhurandhar’s second-week earnings were significantly higher than these films.

Dhurandhar’s all-India net collection for the initial two weeks (14 days) reached ₹479.50 crore. The film continued its strong performance on its third Friday (15th day), earning ₹23.64 crore at the Indian box office, exceeding expectations. According to the latest reports, Dhurandhar is earning approximately ₹32.75 crore at the Indian box office on its third Saturday (16th day).

The film’s all-India net collection now totals ₹535.90 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹641.72 crore. Its overseas earnings are consistently strong, having accumulated ₹163.28 crore from the overseas market. Dhurandhar’s total worldwide collection has reached ₹805 crore, having surpassed the ₹800 crore mark globally in just 16 days. A significant surge in collections is expected on Sunday, with a projection that the film might cross the ₹850 crore worldwide mark by its third Sunday. It is anticipated that the film will easily achieve ₹1000 crore in earnings in the coming days. The trajectory of its box office collections beyond ₹1000 crore, whether it stops at ₹1100-₹1200 crore or earns more, remains to be seen.

Avatar 3 Box Office: Initial Two-Day Collections

Avatar 3 was released across India on 1700 screens in six languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English. Avatar 3 faced strong competition from Dhurandhar in its third week, which impacted its Hindi collections. New South Indian films also created competition for Avatar 3 in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada-speaking regions this week. Despite the competition, the film’s first-day box office earnings were substantial. However, the expected significant growth in collections on the second day did not materialize.

Avatar 3’s first-day India net collection across all languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and English) was ₹23.75 crore. On the second day, its collections slightly dropped instead of showing growth, influenced by mixed reviews and competition from Indian films. As per reports, Avatar 3 is earning approximately ₹21.50 crore in India on its second day.

With this, Avatar 3’s initial two-day India net collection totals ₹45.25 crore, and its India gross collection is ₹54.30 crore. According to Hollywood websites, the film earned $10 million in the worldwide market over two days, translating to a worldwide collection of ₹1850 crore in Indian Rupees for its first two days. The film’s collections are expected to be higher on Sunday compared to its first and second days in the worldwide market.

Akhanda 2 Nine-Day Worldwide Box Office Report

The pan-India film Akhanda 2 was released last week in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Upon its release, Akhanda 2 had a grand opening at the box office on its first day. However, following the opening day, its collections declined daily. The film managed to cross the ₹100 crore mark worldwide in its first week.

With the start of its second week, new South Indian films and a major Hollywood film were released, significantly reducing Akhanda 2’s screen count. This led to a substantial drop in its collections during the second week. Akhanda 2’s India net collection across all languages for its first week (seven days) was ₹79.53 crore. On its eighth day (second Friday), the film earned ₹1.94 crore from all languages at the Indian box office. According to current reports, Akhanda 2 is earning approximately ₹2.25 crore in India on its ninth day.

Akhanda 2’s total India net collection for the initial nine days stands at ₹83.72 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹100.03 crore. The film’s worldwide box office collection over nine days has reached ₹119.50 crore. With a reported budget of ₹200 crore, and worldwide earnings of over ₹119 crore to date, the film faces a challenging path to achieve hit status, as further significant earnings are required.
