Pushpa 2 Box Office Performance and Collections
Alia Arjun’s Pushpa 2 has become Indian cinema’s biggest blockbuster film. The film has been in cinemas for almost four weeks, and its box office earning speed shows no signs of stopping. Since its release, Pushpa 2’s daily collections have been historical, breaking records every day. It secured the biggest opening for a Hindi film and surpassed films like RRR and Baahubali 2 in the worldwide market. The film’s first-week collection was record-breaking, its second-week earnings were better than expected, and its third-week collections were surprising. Even as its fourth week began, Pushpa 2 continued its explosive earnings.
Pushpa 2 was released in six languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Bengali. The film’s budget was ₹500 crore, but it earned double its budget in just six days. Following this, its daily collections consistently exceeded ₹10 crore.
Regarding its Hindi collections, Pushpa 2 recorded a Hindi net collection of ₹748 crore in 23 days. On its 24th day (fourth Saturday), it earned ₹10.50 crore from the Hindi market. The film saw a significant jump in earnings on its 25th day (fourth Sunday), with a Hindi net collection of ₹1.5 crore. It is anticipated that the film’s lifetime Hindi collection will exceed ₹1000 crore. The Hindi theatrical rights were sold for ₹200 crore, making it a mega-blockbuster in the Hindi market.
In addition to Hindi, Pushpa 2 performed strongly in its South Indian language versions for the first three weeks, with decent earnings during the fourth-week weekend. However, the film has now significantly slowed down in the South market due to many new South Indian and Hollywood releases, resulting in fewer screens for Pushpa 2 in the South. Currently, 80 to 90 percent of its collections are coming from Hindi.
Across all languages, Pushpa 2 achieved an India net collection of ₹2123.4 crore in 23 days. On the 24th day, it collected ₹1.5 crore All India net. The 25th day saw an All India net collection of ₹1.5 crore. The film has also performed strongly overseas, with an overseas total gross collection of ₹268 crore. The cumulative 26-day total worldwide box office collection for Pushpa 2 has reached ₹81 crore.
