Pushpa 2 Continues Sensational Box Office Run
Allu Arjun’s “Pushpa 2” is currently in its fourth week in cinemas, with its earnings continuing to be sensational day by day. Despite being in its fourth week, the film is generating more collections from its Hindi version than the total collections of Varun Dhawan’s “Baby Zone,” which was released this week. This indicates that “Pushpa 2” remains the top choice for the Hindi audience. While the film’s earnings in the South are decent, they are not as high as the splendid response it receives in the Hindi market. The film has completed 24 days since its release, achieving massive worldwide collections across all languages. The number of screens for “Pushpa 2” has decreased in the South but increased in Hindi-speaking regions. It is anticipated that the film’s earnings from South Indian languages may decline in the coming days, but it is expected to continue its strong performance in the Hindi market for another week or two. “Pushpa 2” is approaching the figures of “Baahubali 2” and could surpass its lifetime box office collection within three to four days.

Max Box Office Performance: Strong Opening & Sustained Earnings
Kiccha Sudeep’s “Max,” a Kannada action drama thriller, was initially released only in the Kannada language four days ago and later in Telugu. The film received the biggest opening for the Kannada industry in 2024. Despite typical trends where South Indian films often see a drop after the first day, “Max” maintained strong collections on its second, third, and fourth days.
With a budget of ₹50 crore, “Max” earned an India net collection of ₹9 crore 25 lakh on its first day. In its first three days, the film collected ₹19 crore 3 lakh at the Indian box office. On its fourth day, being a Saturday, the film is estimated to collect approximately ₹6 crore 15 lakh from the Indian box office due to better occupancy compared to the previous days. The early four-day all-India net collection for “Max” stands at ₹25 crore 52 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹30 crore 37 lakh. The film’s worldwide box office collection for four days has reached ₹34 crore 16 lakh. The film has earned more than ₹50 crore in four days, and it has high chances of becoming a big hit at the box office.
Baby Zone Box Office Update: Mixed Performance in First Four Days
Varun Dhawan’s “Baby Zone,” an action-packed Bollywood film, was released this week amidst significant pre-release hype, leading to expectations of a strong box office performance. Released on Christmas, the film achieved a double-digit opening on its first day. However, “Baby Zone” experienced a substantial drop in earnings on its second day, with collections further declining on the third day, proving to be disappointing.
The film’s budget is ₹85 crore. On its first day, “Baby Zone” collected an all-India net of ₹11 crore 25 lakh. Over its initial three days, the film earned ₹20 crore 38 lakh from the Indian market. On its fourth day, a Saturday, while the occupancy in afternoon, evening, and night shows was better than the second and third days, the film is still estimated to collect approximately ₹5 crore 65 lakh. The early four-day all-india net collection for “Baby Zone” is ₹26 crore 3 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹31 crore 9 lakh. The film’s four-day worldwide box office collection stands at ₹37 crore 84 lakh. Given its performance, it would be a significant achievement for the film to even recover its budget. While Sunday is expected to bring a benefit from the holiday, it remains to be seen what its lifetime box office collection will be.
