Pushpa 2 Creates Box Office History: Opens ₹700 Crore Club in Hindi Market

Alia Arjun’s blockbuster film Pushpa 2 has achieved a record previously untouched in 100 years of Bollywood history, surpassing films by Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, or Aamir Khan. Pushpa 2 has collected over ₹700 crore in the Hindi market alone. The film, released on December 5, has completed 19 days in cinemas.

Pushpa 2 Hindi Box Office Performance

Pushpa 2 recorded an opening of ₹22 crore from Hindi on its first day. Within three days, its Hindi net collection surpassed ₹100 crore. Before two weeks concluded, the film’s Hindi collection had already crossed ₹500 crore. In 19 days, Pushpa 2 became the first Indian movie to achieve a Hindi net collection of ₹700 crore, effectively opening the ₹700 Crore Club in the Hindi market. Previously, Bollywood’s highest-grossing film was Stree 2, which had a Hindi net collection of ₹627 crore.

Breaking down the Hindi collections further, Pushpa 2 garnered ₹645 crore net in its first 16 days. On its third Saturday, the 17th day, the film collected over ₹20 crore. A significant jump was seen on the third Sunday, its 18th day, where it amassed an impressive ₹27 crore 50 lakh from the Hindi market. For its 19th day, a Monday, despite a drop in occupancy and reduced ticket rates, Pushpa 2 is estimated to earn approximately ₹10 crore from the Hindi market. With this, Pushpa 2’s total Hindi net collection over 19 days stands at ₹703 crore. The Hindi gross collection has already reached ₹831 crore.

Pushpa 2 All Language and Worldwide Collections

Pushpa 2 demonstrated strong performance across all languages. In just 17 days, the film’s all-India net collection reached ₹1023 crore. On its third Sunday, the 18th day, the film collected ₹34 crore net across all languages in India. For its 19th day, Pushpa 2 is estimated to collect approximately ₹15 crore net across all languages. This brings Pushpa 2’s all-India net collection for 19 days to ₹1172 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹93 crore.

Internationally, Pushpa 2 has also surpassed the ₹250 crore mark, with its overseas collection currently at ₹252 crore. Combining all figures, Pushpa 2’s worldwide collection for 19 days has reached ₹1645 crore. The film is now nearing the ₹1650 crore mark worldwide. It is projected that Pushpa 2’s lifetime box office collection will cross Baahubali 2’s lifetime collection of ₹18111 crore. Pushpa 2, already around ₹1650 crore, is expected to surpass Baahubali 2 within approximately one week.

Mufasa Box Office Update

Hollywood film Mufasa, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, and English, has completed four days at the Indian box office. In its initial two days, the film recorded a net collection of ₹22 crore 85 lakh from India. On the third day, Mufasa earned ₹18 crore 75 lakh from all languages on the Indian Box Office. On its fourth day, a Monday, the film is collecting approximately ₹9 crore 50 lakh. Mufasa’s India net collection for the first four days stands at ₹51 crore 10 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹60 crore 82 lakh. The film has been declared a super duper hit at the Indian Box Office.

Marco Box Office Performance

The Malayalam action-drama film Marco, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, has earned more than its budget of ₹30 crore within its first four days. The film’s initial three-day India net collection was ₹14 crore 25 lakh. On its fourth day, Marco is estimated to collect approximately ₹3 crore 50 lakh on the Indian Box Office. This brings Marco’s first four-day India net collection to ₹17 crore 75 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹21 crore 12 lakh. The film has also collected ₹16 crore 50 lakh from overseas markets. Marco’s four-day worldwide box office collection totals ₹37 crore 62 lakh, positioning it to become a major blockbuster.

Vanvas Box Office Report

Bollywood’s family drama film Vanvas, made on a budget of ₹50 crore, has completed four days. The film recorded a worldwide collection of just ₹2 crore 80 lakh in its initial two days. On Sunday, its third day, Vanvas earned only ₹1 crore 86 lakh. On Monday, its fourth day, the movie is collecting an estimated ₹1 crore gross. Vanvas’s total worldwide collection for its first four days is ₹5 crore 60 lakh, significantly less than its ₹50 crore budget.

Baby Zone Advance Booking Collections

Varun Dhawan’s Baby Zone is set to release on December 25. Advance booking for the film began two days prior to release. The advance booking collection for Baby Zone’s first day stands at ₹2 crore 48 lakh. For the weekend, the film has secured advance bookings worth ₹4 crore 73 lakh.
