Akshay Kumar’s film Sarfira has entered its second week with collections seeing a significant drop. The film’s budget stands at ₹80 crore. After eight days, its worldwide collection has not reached half of its budget.

On its opening day, Sarfira collected ₹3 crore 50 lakh. Over the three-day weekend, the film earned ₹10 crore 50 lakh. Its first week, spanning seven days, saw an India net collection of more than ₹20 crore.

On its eighth day, the film recorded an India net collection of ₹1 crore 20 lakh. This brings Sarfira’s initial eight-day All India net collection to ₹21 crore 43 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹25 crore 54 lakh. The film’s initial eight-day worldwide box office collection totals ₹32 crore 87 lakh.

Bad News Box Office: Explosive First Day Opening

The comedy-drama film Bad News has secured an explosive opening on its first day at the box office. Released globally across 3000 screens, the film’s budget is ₹70 crore. Before its release, the makers recovered ₹38 crore from digital rights, ₹17 crore from satellite rights, and ₹10 crore from music rights, totaling ₹65 crore. This meant only ₹5 crore was at stake for the makers upon release.

On its opening day, Bad News achieved an occupancy of approximately 55% in Tier 1 cities, with mass circuits showing a response of 20 to 25%. The film’s first-day All India net collection stands at ₹9 crore 50 lakh, leading to an India gross collection of ₹11 crore 30 lakh.

Internationally, the film earned ₹2 crore 50 lakh from the overseas market on its first day. Consequently, Bad News registered a first-day worldwide box office collection of ₹13 crore 80 lakh. This first-day collection is noted to be higher than Akshay Kumar’s film Sarfira, marking one of the year’s best openings.

Kalki Box Office: Impressive 23-Day Worldwide Collections

The blockbuster film Kalki continues its strong run, now in its fourth week in cinemas, maintaining excellent collections. The film, made on an approximate budget of ₹600 crore, was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada.

After 23 days in cinemas, Kalki’s initial 21-day Hindi net collection was ₹265 crore 32 lakh. On its 22nd day, the film collected ₹2 crore 21 lakh in Hindi. For the 23rd day, the Hindi net collection is reported as ₹1 crore 80 lakh, noting a collection below ₹2 crore due to reduced screens.

Cumulatively, Kalki’s initial 23-day Hindi net collection reached ₹269 crore 33 lakh, with a Hindi gross collection of ₹320 crore 50 lakh. From its South Indian language versions (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada), the film garnered an India gross collection of ₹492 crore 18 lakh.

The film’s initial 23-day India gross collection across all five languages amounts to ₹812 crore 8 lakh. Additionally, Kalki has earned ₹265 crore 1 lakh from the overseas market. This brings Kalki’s 23-day worldwide box office collection to a total of ₹1077 crore 81 lakh. The film has accumulated ₹1077 crore 81 lakh globally in 23 days across all its five language versions, with expectations for its final collection to reach at least ₹1200 crore.
