Salaar’s Record-Breaking Seven-Day Box Office Performance

Pen India superstar Prabhas’s film, Salaar, has completed seven days in cinemas, making record-breaking earnings from its Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada language versions during the initial seven days. Salaar has become Prabhas’s highest-earning film after Baahubali 2 and Baahubali 1 within just seven days of its release.

The film secured 2023’s biggest opening upon its release on December 22. On its first day, Salaar surpassed the collections of major Indian films released this year, including Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo, and Prabhas’s own Adipurush. Initial reviews for Salaar were largely positive, contributing to strong collections across all languages in its first week. Currently, the majority of Salaar’s box office collections are stemming from its Hindi and Telugu versions, while collections from Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada languages have seen a significant decline.

Salaar Day-Wise and Total Collections

Salaar, directed by Prashanth Neel and starring Prabhas alongside Prithviraj Sukumaran, Jagapathi Babu, and Shruti Haasan, achieved an India net collection of ₹316.80 crore across all five languages within its first four days. On its fifth day, the film garnered an India net collection of ₹25.10 crore, followed by ₹20.45 crore on its sixth day. For its seventh day, Salaar is reporting an All India net collection of ₹18.50 crore across all languages.

The total All India net collection for Salaar over seven days has surpassed ₹380 crore. The India gross collection stands at ₹453 crore. Globally, Salaar’s seven-day worldwide box office collection has reached ₹586 crore.

Dunki’s Eight-Day Box Office Performance

The comedy-drama film Dunki, directed by Rajkumar Hirani and featuring Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, and Vicky Kaushal, was produced on a budget of approximately ₹120 crore. Released on December 21, the film has now completed eight days in cinemas.

Dunki’s India net collection on its first day was ₹29.20 crore, followed by ₹20.12 crore on the second day. The third day saw collections of ₹25.61 crore, and the fourth day recorded ₹30.70 crore. On its fifth day, Dunki’s All India net collection was ₹24.32 crore. The sixth day saw earnings of ₹11.56 crore, and the seventh day’s India net collection was ₹9.25 crore. On its eighth day, Dunki is estimated to make an India net collection of ₹8.50 crore, experiencing a further drop in occupancy compared to the previous day.

Dunki’s Cumulative Collections and Global Reach

After eight days, Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki has accumulated an India net collection of ₹159.26 crore. The India gross collection for the film stands at ₹190 crore. From the overseas market, Dunki has earned a total of ₹124 crore so far. Consequently, Dunki’s eight-day worldwide box office collection totals ₹314 crore.
