Spy Movie Box Office: Decent First Day Worldwide Earnings
The Pan-India film Spy received a decent response at the box office on its first day. The film, originally Telugu, was released in a total of five languages: Telugu, Hindi, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Globally, Spy was released on approximately 1800 screens across these five languages. In the Hindi market, the film did not receive extensive screen allocation as it was not released in major cinema chains like PVR, INOX, or Cinepolis. While the Hindi version did not see a strong response, the Telugu version secured a strong opening on its first day.
The total budget for Spy, including promotion costs, is ₹30 crore. Before release, the film recovered ₹21 crore through various rights sales. Digital rights across all five languages were sold for ₹11 crore, satellite rights for ₹8 crore, and music rights for ₹2 crore.
On its first day, Spy collected approximately ₹5 crore across India. The film’s first-day worldwide collection is estimated to be in the range of ₹7 crore. Considering its budget, a worldwide collection of ₹7 crore on the first day is considered a decent opening for the film.
Adipurush Box Office: 14-Day Worldwide Total Collection Update
Prabhas’ film Adipurush has completed 14 days in cinemas since its release. The movie was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Up to 13 days, Adipurush had accumulated a worldwide collection of ₹473 crore across all languages.
On its 14th day, the film’s screen count was significantly reduced. In the Hindi belt, this reduction was due to the release of Satyaprem Ki Katha. In South languages, screens were also decreased due to the release of Spy and a couple of other films. Consequently, Adipurush collected approximately ₹3 crore worldwide across all languages on its 14th day.
With this, the total worldwide collection for Adipurush over its initial 14 days (two weeks) stands at ₹476 crore. Based on current trends, it appears the film’s lifetime collection might reach a minimum and maximum of ₹500 crore, with a possibility of not even touching the ₹500 crore mark. The film’s collections are considered low given its budget.
