Salaar Box Office Collection Day 4: Worldwide Earning and Prabhas' Hit

Salaar’s Record-Breaking Box Office Performance

Superstar Prabhas’s film Salaar is achieving record-breaking box office earnings, with its pace showing no signs of slowing down. The film has made record-breaking worldwide collections in its initial four days. On its fourth day, Christmas, the film was running housefull across India.

Salaar Hindi Box Office Collections

Salaar faced significant competition from Dunki in the Hindi market, with Dunki securing most screens. Despite fewer screens, Salaar made strong collections in its first four days in Hindi.

On its first day, Salaar collected a net of ₹18 crore from Hindi markets. The second day saw Hindi collections rise to ₹23 crore. A major jump occurred on the third day, Sunday, with Hindi collections reaching ₹26 crore. On the fourth day, Christmas, Salaar continued to benefit from the holiday, with reports indicating an approximate Hindi collection of ₹22 crore, showing better occupancy than the first and second days.

With these figures, Salaar’s four-day Hindi net collection stands at ₹89 crore. Projections suggest that the film’s Hindi collection will cross the ₹100 crore mark within the next two days.

Salaar All India and Worldwide Collections

Salaar was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film has achieved significant collections across all five languages, exceeding its budget at the box office.

On its opening day, Salaar registered an All India net collection of ₹107 crore from all five languages. The second day saw a slight dip, with the film collecting an All India net of ₹71 crore. On the third day, Sunday, strong earnings from South Indian languages, mirroring the Hindi market growth, pushed the All India net collection to ₹78 crore. The fourth day, Christmas, brought good occupancy across India, with Salaar’s All India net collection from all five languages estimated at ₹65 crore.

Cumulatively, Salaar’s four-day All India net collection from all five languages totals ₹321 crore, crossing the ₹300 crore mark in India’s net collections. The film’s All India gross collection for four days stands at ₹382 crore. Additionally, Salaar has earned ₹121 crore from the overseas market. This brings Salaar’s total four-day worldwide collection to ₹503 crore, surpassing the ₹500 crore milestone globally.

Salaar’s opening day collection was the highest of the year worldwide.

Dunki Box Office Performance

Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki was released on December 21st, one day before Salaar. Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, the comedy-drama film had a budget of approximately ₹120 crore. Dunki’s box office collections are lower compared to Salaar, but the film has made good earnings relative to its budget in its initial five days.

Dunki Day-Wise and Total Collections

Dunki’s All India net collection on its first day was ₹29 crore 20 lakh. Collections dropped on the second day, bringing in ₹22 crore 50 lakh. Saturday, the third day, saw a jump in collections, with the film earning an India net of ₹28 crore 50 lakh. The fourth day, Sunday, a full holiday, brought a significant surge, with Dunki’s India net collection reaching ₹33 crore 10 lakh, exceeding its first-day earnings. On its fifth day, Christmas, another full holiday, Dunki reported an India net collection of ₹24 crore 30 lakh, showing a good increase compared to the second day.

The total All India net collection for Dunki over five days stands at ₹137 crore 60 lakh. Its India gross collection for five days is ₹161.4 crore. The film has also performed well in overseas markets, with a total overseas collection of ₹92 crore. Consequently, Dunki’s worldwide total box office collection after five days has reached ₹256 crore, surpassing ₹250 crore.

Based on its budget, Dunki is projected to be a hit or a superhit. If the film continues its run for another one to two weeks, its lifetime collection could potentially reach between ₹450 crore to ₹500 crore.

Box Office Comparisons: Salaar vs. Dunki vs. Jawan

Salaar’s earnings in just four days are significantly higher than Dunki’s potential lifetime collection.

In 2023, the highest-grossing Indian film worldwide was Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan, which collected approximately ₹1100 crore globally. With Salaar’s explosive four-day performance, it is anticipated that its lifetime collection will surpass Jawan’s worldwide total, potentially making Salaar the highest-grossing film of 2023.
