Animal Box Office: Record-Breaking Performance for Ranbir Kapoor’s Film
The film Animal, featuring Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol, has made a significant impact at the box office. The movie achieved record-breaking earnings on its first day, followed by an even greater surge in collections on its second day. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal’s influence has been felt across India and overseas.
Released in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—the film has generated historic earnings in each language. Notably, Animal’s first-day collection surpassed that of Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, which was released during Diwali. Animal achieved this success despite not being part of a franchise and not being released on a holiday. The film registered housefull shows across cinemas, from north to south and east to west, receiving a bumper opening in the Hindi market and strong collections in the South Indian languages.
Animal First Day Box Office Collections
On its opening day, Animal recorded a net collection of 51 crore from the Hindi market alone. The South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada) contributed an All India net collection of 13 crore. This brought the film’s total First Day All India Net Collection across all five languages to 64 crore. The India Gross Collection for the first day stood at 76 crore.
Internationally, the film earned approximately 40 crore from the overseas market on its first day. Consequently, Animal’s First Day Worldwide Collection amounted to an impressive 116 crore.
Animal Second Day Box Office Collections
The second day saw a remarkable jump in the Hindi market’s collections for Animal, though there was a slight drop in the South Indian languages. This trend is consistent with Hindi films, which often earn more on their second day (Saturday), while South Indian films tend to have higher first-day collections.
On its second day, the film’s morning shows in the Hindi market experienced an occupancy 12 to 13 percent higher than the first day. Evening and night show bookings were also strong, benefiting from Saturday being a half-holiday. Animal’s Hindi net collection for the second day is approximately 58 crore. The South Indian languages’ India net collection for the second day was 7 crore.
The Second Day All India Net Collection for Animal is approximately 55 crore. The India Gross Collection for the second day reached 77 crore. In the overseas market, the film collected approximately 15 crore on its second day, leading to a Second Day Worldwide Collection of 92 crore.
Animal Two-Day Total Box Office Collections
Combining the collections from its first two days, Animal’s total Hindi net collection stands at 109 crore. The net collection from South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada) for two days is 20 crore.
The film’s All India Net Collection across all five languages for two days totals 129 crore. The India Gross Collection over two days is 153 crore.
Internationally, Animal’s overseas collection for two days amounts to 55 crore. This brings the Two-Day Total Worldwide Box Office Collection for Animal to a staggering 208 crore, crossing the 200 crore mark within two days. The film is anticipated to achieve a minimum lifetime collection of 500-600 crore.
