Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh Film Crosses Rs 300 Crore Worldwide

Border 2 Box Office: Second Week Momentum

Superstar Sunny Deol’s film Border 2 continues its record-breaking earnings at a fast pace. The film has started its second week in cinemas. While the film made a smashing collection at the box office in its first week, its screens have slightly reduced in the second week. Despite fewer screens, the film’s box office collections are not stopping and it continues to make splendid earnings at a fast pace. Border 2 has already collected more than its budget. The excellent start the film received in its second week suggests its collections will continue to be explosive for several more weeks.

Border 2 Collections: First Week Milestones

Border 2, made on a budget of ₹275 crore, earned more than ₹300 crore worldwide within its first week, silencing those who were creating negativity around its release. Border 2 has become the first Bollywood film this year to cross the ₹100 crore, ₹200 crore, and ₹300 crore mark. It is expected to surpass ₹500 crore and become the year’s first biggest blockbuster.

Border 2 Day-Wise Earnings: 6-Day, 7-Day, and 8-Day Breakdown

Border 2 collected an India net amount of ₹231 crore 83 lakh within its first six days. Its India gross collection for six days reached ₹273 crore 55 lakh. On the seventh day, which was the last day of the week, the film earned an India net collection of ₹12 crore 71 lakh, with a gross collection of ₹14 crore 99 lakh in India. On its eighth day, which marks its second Friday, the film’s screens were reduced. The reported India net collection for Border 2 on its second Friday (eighth day) is ₹11 crore 25 lakh.

Border 2 Worldwide Box Office: 8-Day Grand Total

Including the eighth day’s earnings, Border 2’s total all-India net collection stands at ₹255 crore 79 lakh, having surpassed the ₹250 crore mark in India net collections. In terms of gross collections, the film has earned over ₹300 crore. Its India gross collection to date is ₹301 crore 83 lakh. While the film made splendid earnings overseas in its first week, its international collections have slightly come down in the second week. The film has so far collected an overseas gross of ₹41 crore 77 lakh. With these figures, Border 2’s total worldwide collection after eight days is ₹343 crore 60 lakh. The film is expected to cross the ₹350 crore mark worldwide tomorrow and eventually reach ₹500 crore at the box office.

Mardaani 3 Box Office Opening

Rani Mukerji’s film Mardaani 3 was released in the same week as Border 2 entered its second week. The film did not generate significant audience buzz and its trailer also failed to create much hype. Although Mardaani 3 was released with a good number of screens, it failed to achieve a big opening against the storm of Border 2. The film, which has a substantial budget, needs a big collection to be a box office hit.

Mardaani 3 First Day Collection Details

Mardaani 3 was released on approximately 1500 screens worldwide. The film’s per-day shows were kept quite low because Border 2 is currently the audience’s first preference. Based on the response received in morning shows and the occupancy seen in afternoon, evening, and night show bookings, Mardaani 3 is making an India net collection of approximately ₹3 crore 10 lakh on its first day. Its India gross collection for the first day is ₹3 crore 65 lakh. The film also released on a decent number of screens overseas, collecting an overseas gross of approximately ₹1 crore 25 lakh on its first day. Consequently, Mardaani 3’s first-day worldwide box office collection totals ₹4 crore 90 lakh. Considering its budget, the film’s opening at the box office is considered decent.

Mardaani 3 Financials: Budget and Pre-Release Recovery

Mardaani 3 has a total budget of ₹65 crore. The producers of the film had already made a decent recovery before its release. The film’s OTT (digital) rights were sold for ₹21 crore, and its satellite rights were sold for ₹15 crore. The music rights were not sold as the production house, YRF, has its own music brand. In total, the producers made a recovery of ₹36 crore by selling digital and satellite rights before the film’s release.
