The Raja Saab Box Office Performance
Pan-India superstar Prabhas’s film The Raja Saab continues its strong box office run. The film’s first weekend collections were reportedly very high, surpassing the lifetime earnings of many big Bollywood superstar films. Despite screens being significantly reduced due to new releases, the film maintains decent collections. An increase in collections is anticipated with the upcoming Sankranti holiday.
Despite limited promotion before its release and low expectations, The Raja Saab surprised everyone by earning a splendid ₹12 crore worldwide on its first day. The film also became the fourth in Prabhas’s career to earn over ₹100 crore on its first day. Its collections in the Telugu states have been particularly strong. However, due to insufficient promotion in Hindi, its Hindi earnings were not as high, although it still performed well in the Hindi market, facing competition from Dhurandhar.
The film received a high number of screens and delivered strong collections for its first three days. However, with the release of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s new film on the fourth day, The Raja Saab‘s screens in its main market, the Telugu states, were more than halved, leading to a significant drop in collections from the fourth day onwards.
As per available reports, The Raja Saab recorded an all-India net collection of ₹113 crore 6 lakh during its first weekend (first three days), with Hindi net collections at ₹1 crore 22 lakh and South language net collections at ₹96 crore 84 lakh. On its first Monday (Day 4), the film’s all-India net collection across all languages was ₹6 crore 27 lakh. On its fifth day, The Raja Saab is estimated to earn ₹6 crore 75 lakh in the Indian market across all languages. This brings the film’s total all-India net collection for the first five days to ₹126 crore 8 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹149 crore 93 lakh. The film’s total worldwide collection across all languages to date is ₹191 crore 56 lakh. The total budget for The Raja Saab is approximately ₹350 crore.
Dhurandhar Box Office Journey
Bollywood’s Dhurandhar is currently in its sixth week in cinemas and continues to hold strong at the box office. Since its release, many other Bollywood, Hollywood, and South Indian pan-India films have come and gone, but Dhurandhar remains a significant presence, with its collections growing day by day.
The film, which had a budget of ₹280 crore, has already earned many times more than its budget. It is expected to continue its strong performance for another two to three weeks, with its final collection projected to be very impressive.
Dhurandhar has completed 40 days in cinemas. In its first five weeks, the film achieved an India net collection of ₹840 crore 85 lakh. Over its sixth weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday), it added ₹16 crore 55 lakh in the Indian market. This brought the film’s all-India net collection for the first 38 days to ₹857 crore 40 lakh. On its 39th day (Monday), the film maintained a decent hold, earning ₹2 crore 80 lakh at the Indian box office.
On its 40th day, Dhurandhar saw improved occupancy compared to the previous day, especially in morning shows, reportedly due to ticket offers. Afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also remained strong. Estimates indicate that Dhurandhar is collecting approximately ₹3 crore 50 lakh as India net on its 40th day. With this, the film’s total all-India net collection stands at ₹863 crore 70 lakh, and its India gross collection is ₹1109 crore 16 lakh. The film’s total worldwide box office collection has reached ₹1310 crore in 40 days. It is anticipated that the film’s box office collection will exceed ₹1350 crore in the coming days. Dhurandhar has already been declared an All-Time Mega Blockbuster at the box office.
Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu Box Office Records
This week saw the release of Mega Star Chiranjeevi’s film Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu, which has set record-breaking collections at the box office. This Telugu family thriller secured one of the biggest openings of Chiranjeevi’s career. The film received super positive reviews and maintained its strong hold on the second day after an impressive first day, which is notable as South Indian films often see a significant drop in earnings on the second day. It is projected to become the highest-grossing film of Chiranjeevi’s career.
The film has been released for two days. While Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu had a worldwide release on Friday, it also held paid premiere shows on Thursday, earning a splendid ₹8 crore 60 lakh net collection from these shows in India. On Friday (Day 1), the film’s all-India net collection was ₹29 crore 50 lakh.
Despite the current day being a normal working day, the film’s morning show occupancy only dropped by 30 to 22% compared to the previous day. Afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also saw only about a 25% drop. According to reports, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu is earning more than ₹21 crore as India net collection on its second day. This brings the film’s initial two-day all-India net collection to ₹59 crore 35 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹70 crore 62 lakh.
Overseas, the film has performed exceptionally well, receiving a fantastic response at paid premiere shows, strong earnings on the first day, and maintaining a good hold on the third day as well. Its overseas gross collection to date is approximately ₹31 crore 43 lakh. Consequently, Mana Shankara Vara Prasad Garu‘s initial two-day worldwide collection stands at ₹102 crore 5 lakh. With a budget of ₹200 crore, the film has already crossed the ₹100 crore mark worldwide in just two days. It is expected to see a further significant jump in collections in the coming days and achieve a blockbuster status at the box office.
