Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 7: Worldwide Earnings and Review Details

Border 2 First Day Box Office Performance Shatters Records

Border 2 has made a sensational earning on its first day at the box office. The film’s collections are outstanding not only in India but also abroad. Border 2 has achieved a better opening than the first-day collection of “Dhurandhar,” which was the biggest blockbuster film of 2025. Border 2’s first-day earnings at the Indian Box Office are much higher than “Gadar 2.” It has also received an even bigger opening than “Dhurandhar,” the biggest blockbuster film of last year.

Border 2 Screen Count Worldwide

Border 2 has been released on approximately 4800 screens in India, making it the highest screen count release for a Sunny Deol film in the country. Additionally, the film has been released on approximately 1700 screens abroad. In total, Border 2 has been released on approximately 6500 screens worldwide. This surpasses Sunny Deol’s previous highest screen count release, “Gadar 2,” which was released on approximately 5000 screens.

Production Budget and Pre-Release Recovery

The production cost for Border 2 was ₹250 crore, with an additional ₹25 crore spent on marketing. This brings the total budget of the film to ₹275 crore. However, the producers had already recovered more than ₹200 crore even before the film’s release. The OTT (digital) rights for Border 2 were sold for ₹120 crore. The satellite rights for showing the film on TV were sold for ₹70 crore. The value of the film’s music rights was set at ₹20 crore. By selling its digital, satellite, and music rights before its release, the film made a total recovery of ₹210 crore.

First Day Box Office Collections

Border 2 received a tremendous response in advance bookings. On its release day, the morning shows recorded an occupancy of 60 to 65%, a figure not seen for any Bollywood film in several months, except for “Dhurandhar.” The bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows were also very strong across single screens, multiplexes, big cities, and small towns.

According to reports, Border 2’s first-day India net collection is ₹42 crore 50 lakh. This figure is higher than the opening India net collection of both “Dhurandhar” and Sunny Deol’s “Gadar 2.” The film’s first-day India gross collection stands at ₹50 crore 15 lakh.

Border 2 has also achieved the highest opening for a Sunny Deol film in overseas markets, earning approximately ₹13 crore 25 lakh in the overseas market on its first day. Consequently, Border 2’s first-day worldwide box office collection is ₹63 crore 40 lakh. This represents a complete blockbuster start, with the film earning over ₹63 crore on its opening day.

Weekend and Holiday Box Office Outlook

The film’s earnings are expected to improve on Saturday, a half-holiday, and collections are anticipated to be sensational on Sunday, a full holiday. Furthermore, with January 26 falling on a Monday, Border 2 has the potential to make a big collection at the box office on this national holiday.

If the film continues to be well-received, it is projected to earn much more than its budget of ₹275 crore in its first week alone. The film is expected to collect over ₹200 crore at the box office for 4 consecutive days. Discussions also suggest if Border 2 will collect ₹700 crore worldwide like “Gadar 2” or even surpass the ₹1000 crore mark at the box office.
