Dhurandhar: Box Office Dominance Continues
The film Dhurandhar is currently in its second month in cinemas and continues its strong box office performance, breaking new collection records daily. Released on December 5th, the film has sustained its impressive run even as the month and year have changed. Dhurandhar is expected to continue its robust earnings for another two to three weeks.
Dhurandhar’s Milestone Collections
Dhurandhar had already surpassed ₹800 crore in Indian box office earnings within its first month. In its initial 30 days, the film recorded an India net collection of ₹806 crore 80 lakh, making it the first Bollywood movie to cross the ₹800 crore mark in India net collections. On its fifth Sunday, which was its 31st day, Dhurandhar earned ₹13 crore 75 lakh in the Indian market.
For its 32nd day, a Monday, Dhurandhar’s morning shows experienced a drop, which is typical for working days. A significant drop was also observed in the afternoon, evening, and night show bookings compared to the previous day. As per reports, Dhurandhar is estimated to collect approximately ₹6 crore 50 lakh in the Indian market on its 32nd day.
Dhurandhar: Cumulative Worldwide Collections
Following its 32-day run, Dhurandhar’s All India Net Collection has reached ₹827 crore 5 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹975 crore 86 lakh. The film’s overseas gross collection has been entirely record-breaking, totaling ₹279 crore 14 lakh. With these figures, Dhurandhar’s worldwide collection has reached ₹1255 crore.
Against a budget of ₹280 crore, Dhurandhar has earned over ₹1250 crore globally. The film has also surpassed the lifetime box office collection of another major Indian blockbuster, KGF Chapter 2, establishing itself as an All Time Mega Blockbuster at the box office.
Janagan: Stellar Advance Booking Performance
Thalapathy Vijay’s film Janagan, set for release this week, is receiving a fantastic response in advance bookings. The film will be released in five languages: Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and Hindi (where it will be known as Jan Neta).
While bookings had properly started only in Kerala and Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Vijay’s main market, also saw bookings commence in a few districts last night. The response in Tamil Nadu indicates that Janagan is poised to achieve the biggest opening of Vijay’s career. The film is receiving a great response at the Indian box office, and its overseas bookings are also solid. Limited bookings for the Hindi market have also begun in some areas, suggesting a potentially large collection there. Strong opening day collections are anticipated in South languages and the Hindi market, with a good lifetime collection expected in Hindi if the film performs well.
Janagan: First Day Worldwide Advance Booking
Thalapathy Vijay and Bobby Deol’s film Janagan has secured substantial advance booking collections:
- Karnataka: ₹2 crore 10 lakh
- Kerala: ₹1 crore 61 lakh
- Tamil Nadu: ₹4 crore 37 lakh (despite limited booking)
The film’s All India Advance Booking Collection has reached ₹12 crore 8 lakh. Overseas bookings began almost a week prior, with the film collecting ₹23 crore 42 lakh in advance bookings from the overseas market. Consequently, Janagan’s first-day worldwide advance booking collection has totaled ₹35 crore 50 lakh. With four days remaining until its January 9th release, the film has already earned over ₹35 crore in advance bookings.
The Raja Saab: Overseas Advance Booking Collections
Prabhas’s pan-India film, The Raja Saab, is set to release on January 9th. While India bookings have not yet begun, overseas bookings for the film started over a week ago, generating impressive advance collections.
The Raja Saab’s overseas advance booking collections are detailed as follows:
- USA: $562,000
- Canada: $341,000
- Australia: $127,000
- Gulf Countries: $184,000
The total overseas advance booking collection for the film stands at $1.21 million, which converts to approximately ₹10 crore 91 lakh in Indian currency. This indicates a strong advance booking performance overseas.
The Raja Saab: Box Office Potential
Prabhas’s films typically achieve an opening of over ₹100 crore at the box office. The Raja Saab is projected to break numerous box office records in the South, particularly in Telugu. The film is releasing in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The Raja Saab has the potential to earn over ₹200 crore in the Hindi market. In South Indian languages, specifically Telugu, its lifetime box office collection could reach between ₹200 crore and ₹300 crore.
