Dhuraandhar Box Office: Record-Breaking Collections Continue
The record-breaking earnings of the film Dhuraandhar show no signs of stopping. The film has collected significantly more in its second weekend than it did in its first week. Dhuraandhar is currently performing better than Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2’s second-week collections. It is anticipated that the film will continue its record-breaking collections for three to four more weeks, and its final box office collection could exceed ₹1000 crore.
Dhuraandhar Box Office: Performance and Trends
Released last week, Dhuraandhar surprised everyone with its first-week earnings, surpassing its budget worldwide within the first week itself. Despite expectations that its screens might be reduced in the second week due due to new South and Bollywood releases, Dhuraandhar defied expectations. The film’s earnings on its second Friday and second Saturday were higher than its first Friday and Saturday collections. This makes Dhuraandhar the first Bollywood film in history to earn more in its second week than in its first week. The film is also poised to become Ranveer Singh’s highest-grossing film. It has already earned nearly double its budget worldwide, and the audience craze for the film remains strong. Though some of its screens were reduced due to new Bollywood releases, demand for tickets remains high.
Dhuraandhar: 9-Day Worldwide Box Office Collections
Dhuraandhar, an action thriller, collected an All India Net of ₹218 crore in its first seven days. On its second Friday (Day 8), the film recorded an India Net Collection of ₹34.72 crore, which was higher than its first Friday earnings. On its ninth day (Saturday), Dhuraandhar is estimated to earn over ₹45 crore in the Indian market.
With these figures, the film’s total All India Net Collection for the initial nine days stands at ₹298.22 crore. The India Gross Collection has reached ₹357.13 crore, crossing the ₹350 crore mark in India alone. Internationally, Dhuraandhar has also performed exceptionally well, accumulating an Overseas Gross Collection of ₹86.12 crore. This brings Dhuraandhar’s total worldwide collection for the first nine days to ₹443.25 crore. On its tenth day (Sunday), the film is projected to collect around ₹50 crore in India, potentially pushing its worldwide collection past the ₹500 crore mark. The lifetime collection of Dhuraandhar is now expected to reach ₹1000 crore, and it is set to surpass the lifetime collection of Chaava, another big blockbuster from this year.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 Box Office: Initial Performance
The Bollywood romantic comedy-drama Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, directed by Anukalp Goswami and starring Kapil Sharma, Warina Hussain, Manjot Singh, Parul Gulati, and Ayesha Khan, was released this week. With a budget of ₹50 crore, the film was released on 1800 screens worldwide. Unlike its blockbuster first part, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 has not made a significant impact at the box office, struggling against the strong performance of Dhuraandhar.
Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2: Day 1 & 2 Collections
On its first day, Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 achieved an India Net Collection of ₹2.12 crore. On its second day (Saturday), the film is estimated to collect approximately ₹2.5 crore in the Indian market. This brings its initial two-day All India Net Collection to ₹4.62 crore. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹5.53 crore. Overseas, the film collected around ₹1.95 crore. Therefore, the total worldwide collection for Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2 in its first two days is ₹7.48 crore. Given its ₹50 crore budget, these earnings are considered very low, and it seems unlikely that the film will be able to recover its budget.
Akhanda 2 Box Office: Day 1 Strong Start, Day 2 Drop
The action-drama film Akhanda 2, directed by Boyapati Sreenu and starring Nandamuri Balakrishna, Pragya Jaiswal, Jagapathi Babu, and Srikanth, saw its release this week. The film had a strong opening at the box office on its first day. However, its performance in the Hindi market was not strong, as it received limited screens and shows, largely due to Dhuraandhar dominating the Hindi market. While collections in Hindi were not significant, the film had a tremendous start in South Indian languages, particularly Telugu, on its first day. Notably, the film experienced a significant drop in its collections on the second day.
Akhanda 2 Worldwide Collections After Two Days
On its first day, Akhanda 2 recorded an India Net Collection of ₹28.86 crore across all languages, including paid premiere shows. However, mirroring a trend often seen with South Indian films, earnings dropped substantially on the second day. The occupancy for second-day morning shows dropped by more than 50% compared to the first day, with afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also showing considerable decline.
Based on current reports, Akhanda 2 is estimated to collect approximately ₹12.5 crore in India Net on its second day. This brings the film’s initial two-day All India Net Collection to ₹41.36 crore. The India Gross Collection reached ₹49.52 crore. In the overseas market, the film collected approximately ₹14.91 crore in its first two days. Thus, Akhanda 2’s total worldwide collection for the initial two days stands at ₹64.43 crore. While these are considered good earnings, the daily drop in collections raises concerns about the film’s ability to recover its ₹200 crore budget. Akhanda 2 was released on 3000 screens worldwide.
Akhanda 2 Budget and Performance
With a substantial budget of ₹200 crore and a release across 3000 screens worldwide, Akhanda 2 began with a promising Day 1. However, the subsequent drop in collections, particularly a significant decline on Day 2, indicates a challenging path ahead for the film to achieve a successful box office run and recover its production costs.
