Dhhurandhar: First Day Box Office Collection Report
Ranveer Singh and Sanjay Dutt’s film Dhhurandhar has opened with strong box office earnings on its first day. The film, released at the end of 2025, has made a remarkable start at the Indian box office, with its collections also proving exceptional in overseas markets. Dhhurandhar registered a record-breaking opening not just in India but globally on its debut day.
This action-thriller, directed by Aditya Dhar and starring Ranveer Singh, Sanjay Dutt, Akshay Khanna, R Madhavan, and Arjun Rampal, has shown a significantly better opening performance compared to Ranveer Singh’s previous five to six films. There are expectations that Dhhurandhar could become the highest-grossing film of Ranveer Singh’s career if it receives a good response from the audience. The postponement of the pan-India film Akhanda 2, which was also set to release alongside Dhhurandhar, may have contributed to a good first-day collection in the South market for Dhhurandhar.
Dhhurandhar Box Office Screen Count and Budget Details
Dhhurandhar has been released across approximately 3500 screens in India and over 1500 screens internationally, bringing its worldwide screen count to about 5000. The production cost for the film is ₹250 crore, which covers both parts of Dhhurandhar. An additional ₹30 crore was spent on promotion and marketing, making the total budget for the film ₹280 crore.
Before its release, Dhhurandhar’s makers achieved substantial recovery through various rights. The digital rights were sold for ₹90 crore, satellite rights for ₹55 crore, and music rights for ₹15 crore. This means a total of ₹160 crore was recovered from digital, satellite, and music rights even before the film hit cinemas.
Dhhurandhar First Day Worldwide Box Office Performance
Despite being a film of approximately 3.5 hours, Dhhurandhar garnered good occupancy in its morning shows, with single screens and multiplexes recording 20-22% occupancy, which is considered a strong start given the colder weather. Booking for afternoon, evening, and night shows also remained solid for the first day.
As per reports, Dhhurandhar’s estimated first-day All India Net Collection stands at ₹21 crore 50 lakh. The India Gross Collection for day one is ₹23 crore 35 lakh. The film also received a good response in overseas markets, with an estimated earning of approximately ₹7.5 crore on its first day. Consequently, Dhhurandhar’s First Day Worldwide Box Office Collection totals ₹30 crore 85 lakh, marking earnings of over ₹30 crore globally on its opening day. For the film to be considered a box office hit, it would need to collect around ₹300 crore worldwide.
Tere Ishq Mein: Eight-Day Box Office Collections
The romantic drama film Tere Ishq Mein, directed by Aanand L. Rai and starring Dhanush and Kriti Sanon, was released last week in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages. While the film did not perform particularly well in Tamil and Telugu, its Hindi collections surpassed expectations in the first week.
In its second week, Tere Ishq Mein saw a significant reduction in screen count due to the release of Dhhurandhar. Despite fewer screens, the film continued to perform strongly in its second week. Over its initial six days, Tere Ishq Mein accumulated an India Net Collection of ₹79 crore 75 lakh across all languages. On its seventh day, the film added ₹6 crore 11 lakh to its Indian box office earnings.
For its eighth day, with screens significantly reduced and morning shows receiving very low occupancy, the film’s collections saw a considerable drop. Based on current reports, Tere Ishq Mein is estimated to earn approximately ₹2 crore 50 lakh in India on its eighth day. This brings the All India Net Collection for Tere Ishq Mein over eight days to ₹88 crore 36 lakh. The India Gross Collection stands at ₹105 crore 61 lakh, and the total worldwide box office collection for the film up to eight days is ₹115 crore 90 lakh. The film is expected to see a significant jump in collections over the upcoming Saturday and Sunday.
