Leo Box Office: Record-Breaking Worldwide Opening
Pre-release expectations for Leo suggested a first-day collection around ₹30-40 crore and a lifetime collection of ₹200-300 crore. However, upon release, Leo earned ₹148 crore worldwide on its first day. This surpassed the opening day records of Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Prabhas’s Adipurush, making Leo the biggest opening Indian film of 2023. The film, released in five languages – Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, and Telugu – has shown historic collections every day since its release.
Leo Hindi Box Office Collection Trends
Despite no promotion in the Hindi market and limited screen availability, Leo achieved record-breaking collections. The film’s extended four-day opening weekend, spanning Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, saw a Hindi net collection of ₹10 crore 30 lakh. On its fifth day, Monday, Leo continued its strong performance in Hindi, collecting ₹2 crore 50 lakh net. For its sixth day, the film is estimated to achieve a Hindi net collection of approximately ₹2 crore 50 lakh. This brings Leo’s total Hindi net collection for the initial six days to ₹15 crore 90 lakh. The Hindi gross collection for these six days stands at ₹19 crore, categorizing the film as a super duper hit in the Hindi market.
Leo All India Box Office: Crossing Milestones
Across all languages, Leo recorded an India net collection of ₹155 crore during its initial four-day weekend. The film surprised with its fifth-day performance, a Monday, by securing an India net collection of ₹41 crore 50 lakh, surpassing previous predictions. The sixth day of Leo’s run is estimated to bring in an India net collection of ₹35 crore 50 lakh, benefiting from a holiday. Consequently, Leo’s total all-India net collection for the first six days across all five languages reached ₹262 crore. The all-India gross collection for Leo in its initial six days is ₹312 crore, marking the film’s success in crossing the ₹300 crore mark in India.
Leo Global Box Office: Worldwide Gross Collections
Beyond India, Leo’s overseas gross collection has also exceeded the ₹150 crore mark, currently standing at ₹156 crore. Combining the India gross collection of ₹312 crore and the overseas gross collection of ₹156 crore, Leo’s total worldwide gross collection for the first six days is ₹468 crore. Projections indicate that Leo’s total worldwide gross collection is set to cross the ₹500 crore mark within the next two days. The film’s lifetime collection is anticipated to exceed ₹600 crore, with potential to reach ₹700 crore, ₹800 crore, or even ₹1000 crore.
