Jawan Box Office Records Continue to Break
Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan has broken almost all records worldwide, with the film having already crossed the 1000 crore mark. The collection pace of Jawan continues relentlessly. In its initial 18 days, Jawan achieved an India net collection of over 560 crore. Its worldwide gross collection in 18 days reached 1005 crore.
The film’s performance continued strong, with Jawan collecting a net of ₹7 crore 50 lakh from India on its 19th day. On its 20th day, the film is again registering an India net collection of ₹5 crore. With this, Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan’s total India net collection to date stands at 571 crore 28 lakh. The India gross collection is 692 crore, while the film earned 340 crore from overseas. Jawan’s worldwide total gross collection to date is 1032 crore. In its initial 20 days, Jawan has amassed a record-breaking 1032 crore globally, becoming an all-time mega blockbuster at the box office. It is anticipated that Jawan will continue its run, with the film’s final collection projected to reach 1100 crore. Shah Rukh Khan is expected to contribute 2200-2300 crore to Bollywood this year from Jawan and Pathaan alone. Additionally, with his film Dunki also set to release in December, which could earn 500-1000 crore at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan is poised to become the first superstar to accumulate approximately 3500 crore from Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki within a single year.
Gadar 2: An All-Time Organic Blockbuster
Sunny Deol’s film Gadar 2 has seen its final box office collection exceed its budget by more than 10 times. This 2023 organic blockbuster has now been running in cinemas for almost seven weeks. The film’s earnings have been historic. Gadar 2, made on a budget of just 60-70 crore, has achieved a collection that is over 10 times its budget.
Gadar 2 secured an all-India net collection of 522 crore within its initial six weeks. In its seventh week, the film has added another ₹3 crore 50 lakh to its net collection. Consequently, Gadar 2’s total all-India net collection to date is 525 crore 50 lakh. Its India gross collection stands at 601 crore. Gadar 2 has made a smashing 701 crore worldwide, establishing itself as an all-time organic blockbuster at the box office.
Upcoming Box Office Clash: Salaar vs. Dunki
The official release date for Pan India Superstar Prabhas’s film Salaar has been confirmed. Salaar was initially scheduled for release on September 28th, but its release date was subsequently postponed. While there were reports suggesting a November release and even a March 2024 release, trade analyst Taran Adarsh recently confirmed that the film Salaar will now be released on December 22nd. Salaar is set for a worldwide release in cinemas on December 22nd. Notably, on the very same day, Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s film Dunki will also be released. The box office will witness which of these two films – Prabhas’s Salaar or Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki – emerges as the bigger blockbuster.
Tiger 3 and the Spy Universe’s Blockbuster Legacy
Salman Khan’s upcoming film Tiger 3 follows a strong lineage from the Spy Universe. All previous films in this universe, including Tiger Zinda Hai, War, and Pathaan, were blockbusters.
