Jawan’s Dominant Third Friday Box Office Performance

Bollywood film Jawan, now in its third week, has showcased remarkable performance. On its third Friday, the film’s collection was double the combined earnings of the four to five new Bollywood films released this week. Despite a reduction in screens, with approximately 2500 remaining across India, Jawan maintained fantastic occupancy, particularly for its night shows. On this third Friday, Jawan recorded an estimated India net collection of ₹8 crore.

Jawan Sets New Box Office Benchmarks

Jawan has elevated box office expectations, with audiences anticipating an Indian Box Office collection of ₹500 crore and a worldwide collection approaching ₹1000 crore. This trend follows Bollywood’s previous release, Pathaan, which established the ₹500 crore club for Hindi cinema. Jawan has also surpassed the ₹500 crore mark at the Indian Box Office and is nearing the ₹1000 crore mark globally. The film, made on a budget of ₹300 crore, was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.

Jawan’s Record-Breaking Opening and Subsequent Weekly Collections

Upon its release, Jawan achieved a historic first-day India net collection of ₹75 crore across all three languages, marking it as Bollywood’s biggest opener. Given its Thursday release, the first week extended to eight days, during which the film accumulated an India net collection in the range of ₹390 crore. The second week saw Jawan benefit from no new Bollywood releases, resulting in a strong India net collection of ₹137 crore 20 lakh.
