Veera Dheera Sooran: First Day Worldwide Box Office Collection

The Tamil action thriller film, Veera Dheera Sooran, was released in Tamil and Telugu across 1600 screens worldwide. The film, which has a total budget of approximately 90 crore, made a pre-release recovery of 45 crore from digital, satellite, and music rights. Its digital rights were sold for 23 crore, satellite rights for 14 crore, and music rights for 8 crore.

On its first day, Veera Dheera Sooran achieved an all-India net collection of approximately 8.5 crore, with an India gross collection exceeding 10 crore. The film collected around 4.5 crore from the overseas market. This brings the first-day worldwide box office collection for Veera Dheera Sooran to 14 crore 62 lakh. While this is considered a decent opening given the 90 crore budget, the film had a somewhat slow start at the box office considering the star power of Chiyaan Vikram.

Chhaava: 42-Day Worldwide Box Office Performance

The film Chhaava, made on a budget of 130 crore, has completed 42 days in cinemas worldwide and continues to earn crores daily. Its strong performance has led it to achieve an “All Time Blockbuster” tag at the box office.

In its first week, Chhaava recorded an India net collection of 225 crore 28 lakh. The second week saw a strong earning of 186 crore 18 lakh in India net collection. The film continued its impressive run into the third week, adding 84 crore 94 lakh to its India net collection. Initially running only in Hindi, the film was released in Telugu starting its fourth week. The fourth week’s India net collection from both languages reached 55 crore 78 lakh. In its fifth week, the film collected 33 crore 63 lakh. For its sixth week, Chhaava has collected approximately 18 crore 38 lakh.

The cumulative all-India net collection for Chhaava stands at 702 crore 19 lakh, with an India gross collection of 714 crore 60 lakh. The film’s total worldwide box office collection has reached 806 crore 76 lakh.

Empuraan: Record-Breaking First Day Global Earnings

Empuraan, an action crime thriller and part two of the film Lucifer, has achieved an unprecedented response in Malayalam cinema history. The film has secured the biggest opening for any Malayalam film to date. Released in five languages – Malayalam, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Hindi – the film premiered across 4700 screens worldwide. The budget for Empuraan is 50 crore, as officially confirmed by the director and producer. Prior to its release, the film recovered 76 crore through its digital and satellite rights, with digital rights sold for 45 crore and satellite rights for 31 crore.

On its first day, Empuraan registered a Kerala gross collection of approximately 16.5 crore, surpassing the previous record held by Thalapathy Vijay’s ‘The God’ in the state, which was around 13 crore. The film collected 5 crore from Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), 4.5 crore from Tamil Nadu, and 3 crore from Karnataka. In the Hindi market (North India), the film garnered approximately 2 crore across all its language versions. This brings Empuraan’s first-day all-India gross collection to 28 crore.

The film’s overseas performance was particularly strong, collecting a record-breaking 42 crore from international markets. With this significant overseas contribution, Empuraan’s first-day worldwide box office collection is approximately in the 70 crore range. This makes Empuraan the first Malayalam film to achieve a 70 crore opening day collection, setting a new benchmark as no previous Malayalam film had surpassed 50 crore on its first day.

Sikandar: Pre-Release Advance Booking Collections

Salman Khan’s action drama film, Sikandar, is set to release on March 30th. Two days before its release, the film has already garnered significant advance booking collections, indicating a potentially massive opening at the box office.

For its first day (March 30th, Sunday), the all-India advance booking for Sikandar has reached 1 crore 82 lakh. The second day, coinciding with Eid, has also shown strong advance booking, totaling 8 crore 94 lakh. The overall all-India advance booking collection for Sikandar for its initial two days stands at 22 crore 76 lakh.

Internationally, the film’s overseas advance booking collection is 11 crore 65 lakh. Cumulatively, Sikandar’s total worldwide advance booking collection for its first two days before release has reached 34 crore 41 lakh.
