Jawan Box Office Dominance: 12 Days of Historic Earnings
Shah Rukh Khan’s recently released film, Jawan, has completed 12 days in cinemas, making historic earnings. The film has seen massive collections in India and has also been a huge success overseas. Jawan’s performance over these 12 days includes its worldwide collection across three languages.
Bollywood often sees films by big superstars take several weeks to earn 200-300 crore, with some films not even reaching 100 crore. However, Shah Rukh Khan delivered the mega-blockbuster film Pathaan in 2023, which earned over 500 crore in India and more than 1000 crore worldwide. Just eight months after Pathaan’s release, Jawan was released and has already surpassed Pathaan in terms of earnings. Based on its 12-day collection trend, Jawan is projected to earn over 500 crore in India and reach 1200-1300 crore in the worldwide market.
Shah Rukh Khan is set to become the first superstar to deliver two films in a single year with India net collections exceeding 500 crore, and two films with worldwide collections of over 1000 crore. Another upcoming film, Dunki, is also projected to earn 1200-1500 crore in the worldwide market.
Jawan, an action film directed by Atlee, stars Shah Rukh Khan alongside Deepika Padukone, Nayanthara, and Vijay Sethupathi. Made on a budget of 300 crore, the film was released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages.
Jawan’s Record-Breaking Milestones in India
Upon its release, Jawan quickly surpassed the 100 crore mark at the Indian Box Office in just two days. The film’s India net collection for two days stood at 128 crore 23 lakh rupees. Jawan crossed the 200 crore mark in three days, with an India net collection exceeding 206 crore.
The film then went on to cross the 250 crore milestone in four days, achieving an India net collection of 286 crore 16 lakh rupees. To cross the 300 crore net mark, Jawan took five days, securing an India net collection of 319 crore 8 lakh rupees. In seven days, the film had already surpassed the 350 crore mark with an India net collection of 368 crore 28 lakh rupees. By its ninth day, Jawan had crossed the 400 crore mark at the Indian Box Office, with an India net collection of 408 crore 98 lakh rupees.
Day-Wise India Net Collections of Jawan
On its tenth day, Jawan continued its strong performance at the box office, recording an India net collection of 31 crore 80 lakh rupees. The eleventh day, being a Sunday, saw the film achieve a significant record, with an India net collection of 36 crore rupees.
For its twelfth day, a Monday, Jawan’s ticket prices were considerably lower compared to Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. Additionally, Mondays mark the start of working days, typically leading to fewer moviegoers. Despite these factors, Jawan is projected to achieve an India net collection of approximately 10 crore on its twelfth day.
Jawan’s Worldwide Box Office Performance
With the estimated collection for its twelfth day, Jawan’s total India net collection for the initial 12 days is 487 crore. The India gross collection for the film stands at 580 crore. The updated overseas collection for Jawan is 293 crore rupees.
Combining these figures, Jawan’s total worldwide gross collection within the first 12 days is 873 crore rupees. The film has amassed a massive 873 crore globally in 12 days. It is expected that Jawan’s worldwide collection will easily cross the 1000 crore mark within the next five to six days. The lifetime collection of Jawan beyond the 1000 crore mark remains to be seen.
