Box Office Day-Wise Worldwide: Ruslaan, Rathnam, Maidaan, & Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Collection Comparison

Ratnam Box Office Performance Update

The Tamil film Ratnam, which was also dubbed and released in Telugu, was made on a budget of ₹8 crore. Despite expectations of a ₹4-4.5 crore opening, the film’s mixed reviews led to a lower first-day box office performance. Ratnam collected an India net of ₹2.02 crore from both languages on its first day. On the second day, the film experienced a significant drop, with occupancy falling by 25% compared to the first day due to negative reviews and lower bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. The second-day India net collection is reported to be ₹1.50 crore. This brings Ratnam’s total India net collection for its initial two days to ₹3.71 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹3.80 crore. The overseas box office collection stands at ₹1.24 crore. Globally, Ratnam has accumulated a worldwide box office collection of ₹9.04 crore in its first two days, a collection described as entirely disappointing.

Ruslaan’s Initial Box Office Journey

The Bollywood action film Ruslaan, with a budget of ₹25 crore, was expected to achieve a worldwide opening of at least ₹2-2.5 crore. However, the film’s first-day collections were significantly lower than anticipated. Ruslaan managed an all-India collection of only ₹0.08 crore (8 lakh) on its opening day, not even reaching the ₹1 crore mark. On its second day, which was a Saturday (a half-holiday), the movie saw a slight growth in its collection, recording an India collection of ₹0.90 crore (90 lakh). Consequently, Ruslaan’s total India collection for its first two days stands at ₹1.68 crore, far below initial hopes.

Maidaan’s 17-Day Box Office Report

Ajay Devgn’s sports drama Maidaan, produced on a budget of ₹150 crore, has completed 17 days in cinemas and is currently in its third weekend. The film had a slow opening and low collections in its first week, followed by a decent performance in the second week. Heading into its third weekend, Maidaan has shown a slight growth in collections. The movie had an India net collection of ₹40.02 crore within its first 15 days. On its 16th day (third Friday), Maidaan earned ₹0.82 crore (82 lakh). On the 17th day (third Saturday), with improved occupancy compared to the previous day, the film is reported to have an India net collection of ₹1.10 crore. This brings Maidaan’s total India net collection over 17 days to ₹42.01 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹50.07 crore. The film’s worldwide box office collection after 17 days is ₹57.93 crore.

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan 17-Day Global Collections

Bade Miyan Chote Miyan, one of Bollywood’s most expensive films with a budget of ₹300 crore, was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Despite initial high expectations for the Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff starrer, the film received less favorable critical reviews. This resulted in moderate collections during its first week, followed by a significant drop in the second week. No major growth has been observed in its collections even during the third weekend. Within its first 15 days, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan recorded an India net collection of ₹62.75 crore across all languages. On its 16th day, the film earned ₹0.62 crore (62 lakh). On the 17th day, the movie showed a slight growth, with an estimated India net collection in the range of ₹0.80 crore (80 lakh). As a result, Bade Miyan Chote Miyan’s all-India net collection over 17 days is ₹64.23 crore. The film’s India gross collection stands at ₹76.28 crore, and its worldwide box office collection across all languages after 17 days totals ₹126.12 crore.
