De De Pyaar De 2 Box Office Performance Unveiled
Superstar Ajay Devgan’s film, De De Pyaar De 2, delivered better-than-expected box office earnings on its first day of release. A significant uplift in collections was observed on its second day. This performance follows Ajay Devgan’s earlier film ‘Azaad’, which did not perform well at the box office, contrasting with ‘Raid 2’, a big superhit. Another recent film, ‘Son of Sardar 2’, had failed significantly. Despite initial assumptions that De De Pyaar De 2 might not earn much, similar to ‘Son of Sardar 2’, the film achieved a better opening than anticipated on its first day, with further growth in collections on the second day.
De De Pyaar De 2 Two-Day Box Office Collections
De De Pyaar De 2, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Ankur Garg, and Luv Ranjan, was released on 4000 screens worldwide. The film’s budget is ₹100 crore, but its makers had already recovered ₹90 crore by selling digital, satellite, and music rights before release. On its first day, De De Pyaar De 2 earned ₹8 crore 65 lakh in India Net Collection, surpassing expectations of ₹7 to ₹7.5 crore. The second day saw morning show occupancy increase by 12 to 15% compared to the first day, with significant growth in afternoon, evening, and night show bookings. Reports indicate De De Pyaar De 2 collected approximately ₹10 crore in India Net on its second day. This brings the film’s total All India Net Collection for the initial two days to ₹18 crore 65 lakh. The India Gross Collection for the same period stands at ₹22 crore 31 lakh.
De De Pyaar De 2 Worldwide Box Office Update
The film’s overseas box office collection reached ₹3 crore 75 lakh within two days. Consequently, De De Pyaar De 2’s total worldwide collection for its first two days is ₹26 crore 6 lakh. Expectations are high for a substantial jump in collections on the third day, Sunday, due to the holiday. The film is anticipated to secure a strong collection during its initial three days.
Haq Box Office Report
Last week’s release, the social drama film ‘Haq’, starring Emraan Hashmi and Yami Gautam, did not achieve a strong opening at the box office. While the film saw decent growth in its weekend collections, earnings declined significantly during the working days. In its second week, the film’s screen count was considerably reduced following the release of De De Pyaar 2, leading to much lower collections in its second week.
Haq Nine-Day Box Office Performance
‘Haq’ registered an India Net Collection of ₹15 crore 19 lakh during its first week (initial seven days). On its second Friday (eighth day), the film earned ₹72 lakh in India. On Saturday (ninth day), a slight growth was observed due to a half-holiday, with afternoon, evening, and night show bookings almost doubling compared to the previous day. Reports suggest ‘Haq’ collected approximately ₹1 crore 10 lakh in the Indian market on its ninth day. This brings the film’s cumulative All India Net Collection for the initial nine days to over ₹17 crore. The India Gross Collection for the same period is ₹20 crore 36 lakh.
Haq Worldwide Collections and Budget Comparison
Internationally, ‘Haq’ achieved an overseas gross collection of ₹4 crore 77 lakh. This makes the film’s total worldwide box office collection for the initial nine days ₹25 crore 13 lakh. With a reported budget of ₹35 crore, ‘Haq’ would need to earn at least ₹50 to ₹56 crore to be declared a hit at the box office. Achieving this target now appears to be impossible.
