Jawan became the biggest opening film in Bollywood history. After its Thursday release in theaters, collections saw a slight drop on Friday. However, the film showed a significant jump at the box office on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday, shattering major box office records.
Jawan’s Day-Wise Box Office Performance
On its release day, Jawan collected a net total of 75 crore rupees from India across all three languages. The film’s first-day worldwide collection stood at 139 crore 60 lakh rupees. On the second day, Friday, a normal working day, the collections saw a slight drop, with the film earning a net India collection of 53 crore 23 lakh rupees. The second-day worldwide collection was 114 crore 50 lakh rupees.
The third day, Saturday, saw a significant leap at the box office, with Jawan’s collection across all three languages in India reaching 77 crore 83 lakh rupees. The third-day worldwide collection was 144 crore rupees. On its fourth day, Jawan collected a net total of 83 crore rupees from India across all three languages. The fourth-day worldwide collection for the film was 152 crore rupees, surpassing 150 crore globally on that single day.
For the fifth day, Monday, despite being a working day and ticket rates often reducing, Jawan showed strong performance. Morning shows had over 40% occupancy, and bookings for evening and night shows were also excellent. Reports indicate that Jawan is collecting approximately 30 crore rupees as its net India collection on its fifth day, with the fifth-day worldwide collection exceeding 50 crore rupees.
Jawan’s 5-Day Worldwide Box Office Total
Jawan, produced on a budget of 300 crore rupees, was released in three languages: Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu. Over five days, the film’s total net India collection is 320 crore rupees. The India gross collection stands at 375 crore rupees. Globally, Jawan has collected approximately 590 crore rupees from the worldwide market in five days. It is anticipated that on the sixth day, the film’s worldwide collection will cross the 600 crore mark globally. A lifetime collection of 1000 crore rupees is confirmed for the film.
Jawan vs. Pathaan: Early Box Office Comparison
Jawan’s initial 5-day box office performance has significantly surpassed that of Shah Rukh Khan’s previous film, Pathaan, in terms of 5-day collections. Pathaan was the highest-grossing Bollywood film of 2023. While most Bollywood films tend to decline after the opening weekend on Monday, Jawan’s collections continue to be strong on its fifth day, a Monday, showing no signs of slowing down.
