The horror-comedy film Thaama, starring Ayushmann Khurrana and Rashmika Mandanna, was produced with a budget of ₹145 crore, making it the most expensive film in the Medak Horror Comedy Universe. The film was released in both Hindi and a dubbed Telugu version. The Telugu version was unsuccessful and proved to be a flop. However, the Hindi version’s collections have already surpassed its budget, and the film’s first-week worldwide box office collection also exceeded its budget.
In its initial five days, Thaama achieved an India Net Collection of ₹87.13 crore across both Hindi and Telugu languages. On Sunday, its sixth day, the film earned ₹17.22 crore in India. Reports indicate a significant drop in collections on its seventh day, estimated at approximately ₹7.5 crore India Net, following a reduction in ticket rates and the start of working days. Consequently, Thaama’s All India Net Collection for the first seven days stands at ₹111.85 crore. The film’s India Gross Collection is ₹133.94 crore. Globally, the worldwide box office collection for Thaama in its first week (initial seven days) reached ₹150 crore, a figure it has already surpassed.
Kantara Chapter 1 Global Box Office Earnings
The adventure-drama-thriller film Kantara Chapter 1, with an approximate budget of ₹125 crore, was released worldwide on October 2nd, coinciding with Dussehra. It was released in 5-6 languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film is currently concluding its fourth week in cinemas. Despite a reduced number of screens, Kantara Chapter 1 continues to demonstrate excellent earnings.
Kantara Chapter 1 recorded an India Net Collection of ₹593.29 crore across all languages in its initial 24 days. On its 25th day, the film added ₹11.84 crore to its Indian box office total. As per reports, the film’s occupancy on its 26th day experienced a significant drop compared to the previous day, resulting in an estimated India Net Collection of approximately ₹5.5 crore. The All India Net Collection for Kantara Chapter 1 in its first 26 days totals ₹610.63 crore. Its India Gross Collection stands at ₹731.12 crore, and the worldwide box office collection to date has reached ₹853 crore. Kantara Chapter 1 has become the highest-grossing film of 2025, having surpassed the lifetime box office collection record previously held by the film Chhawa for this year.
Baahubali The Epic Advance Booking Collections
Baahubali The Epic, an action-drama-fantasy film combining the stories of Baahubali 1 and Baahubali 2, is scheduled for release on Friday, October 31st. The film will be released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. Advance bookings for Baahubali The Epic have commenced nationwide and have received a tremendous response.
For its first day (Friday), Baahubali The Epic recorded an India advance booking of ₹2.52 crore. The second day (Saturday) saw advance bookings of ₹1.24 crore, and the third day (Sunday) registered ₹1.03 crore in India advance bookings. This brings the All India advance booking for Baahubali The Epic’s initial three days (weekend) to ₹4.99 crore. Additionally, the film garnered ₹4.18 crore from overseas markets through advance bookings. In total, the worldwide advance booking collection for the first three days (weekend) of Baahubali The Epic has reached ₹10.27 crore.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat First Week Box Office
The romantic-drama-thriller film Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, starring Harshvardhan Rane, was released on October 21st, completing seven days in cinemas. Reports indicate a significant drop on its seventh day, Monday, with morning show occupancy decreasing by 50% compared to the previous day. Bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows also registered a considerable decline. The film’s estimated India Net Collection for its seventh day is approximately ₹4.25 crore. This brings the All India Net Collection for the first week (initial seven days) to ₹52.39 crore. The India Gross Collection is ₹62.73 crore, and the worldwide box office collection stands at ₹65.50 crore. Having already earned over ₹65 crore worldwide against its ₹35 crore budget, Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat is classified as a clean hit at the box office.
