Martin: Advance Booking Box Office Performance

The big-budget film Martin has achieved an all-India advance booking collection of ₹2 crore 16 lakh so far. Bookings have commenced for its Kannada version, along with some locations for the Telugu version and a few cities for the Hindi release. Despite being a big-budget production, the current booking figures are lower than expected for the film.

Superstar Rajinikanth and Amitabh Bachchan’s film Taiya has accumulated significant earnings through advance bookings. Additionally, the film’s worldwide weekend booking from its distribution side has reached ₹26 crore 33 lakh. The film is poised for one of the biggest openings in Indian cinema this year. While the Tamil version has received a strong response, the Hindi booking has been relatively low.

The action-drama-thriller film Devara, made on a budget of ₹300 crore, has completed 13 days in cinemas. The film has demonstrated strong earnings during this period. However, its screens in Tamil, Telugu, and Karnataka will be reduced due to upcoming releases, and screens across all languages will see a significant reduction in two days, impacting third-week collections.

Devara’s Hindi net collection for the initial 11 days amounted to ₹60 crore 32 lakh. On its 12th day, the film earned ₹1 crore 72 lakh in Hindi. The estimated Hindi net collection for the 13th day is approximately ₹1 crore 50 lakh. With these figures, Devara’s total Hindi net collection has reached ₹63 crore 54 lakh, and its Hindi gross collection stands at ₹75 crore 61 lakh. Having sold Hindi theatrical rights for approximately ₹15.5 crore, and needing ₹32-35 crore to be considered a Hindi hit, the film has earned over ₹60 crore in the Hindi market, securing a “super duper hit” status in Hindi.

Across all languages, Devara’s Hindi gross collection is ₹75 crore 61 lakh. Its gross collection from South Indian languages (Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada) totals ₹305 crore 42 lakh across India. This brings the film’s total India gross collection across all five languages to ₹381 crore 3 lakh. The worldwide box office collection for Devara across all languages has reached ₹476 crore 12 lakh. Against a budget of ₹300 crore, the film has surpassed ₹476 crore in 13 days, categorizing it as a “super duper hit” at the box office. The film is now aiming to enter the ₹500 crore club.
