Animal Box Office: Crushing Records and Collections
Superstar Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol’s film Animal has significantly impacted the box office. The film crossed the lifetime collection of Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 within 11 days. Bobby Deol has earned more from Animal than his elder brother Sunny Deol’s biggest blockbuster, Gadar 2. Animal, released on December 1st, surprised everyone by earning over ₹63 crore on its first day. Despite being approximately 3 hours 33 minutes long and receiving an ‘Adult’ certificate, the film garnered massive collections during its opening weekend, with collections remaining strong during weekdays.
The film’s first-week collection was impressive. Notably, Animal earned more in its second week than major Indian blockbusters like Pathaan, Jawan, KGF 2, and Baahubali 2. Animal set a record for the highest earnings on its second Friday, second Saturday, and second Sunday in Indian cinema. Even after 11 days in cinemas, the film’s earning pace shows no signs of slowing down. Animal’s 11-day collection has surpassed the lifetime collections of two major blockbusters released this year: Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 and Thalapathy Vijay’s film.
Animal Day-Wise and Total Collections
Animal’s first seven days (first week) recorded an India net collection of over ₹338 crore. On its eighth day (second Friday), the film collected ₹22 crore 95 lakh net. Animal broke all records on its ninth day (second Saturday) with a collection of ₹34 crore 74 lakh. On its tenth day (second Sunday), Animal achieved an India net collection of ₹47 crore, becoming the highest-earning film on its 10th day in Indian cinema history. On its 11th day (Monday), Animal’s India net collection is approximately ₹17 crore, attributed to working days and reduced ticket prices.
With these figures, Animal’s 11-day all-India net collection has exceeded ₹460 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹550 crore. The film has earned a strong ₹196 crore from overseas markets. Consequently, Animal’s 11-day worldwide collection stands at ₹746 crore, nearing the ₹750 crore mark. It is expected to reach ₹900 crore by the end of the current week.
Sam Bahadur Box Office Performance
Meghna Gulzar’s Sam Bahadur has completed 11 days at the box office. Despite facing competition from a major film like Animal, Vicky Kaushal’s Sam Bahadur has performed well. The film garnered an India net collection of ₹58 crore within its first 10 days. On its 11th day, Sam Bahadur is earning approximately ₹6 crore. This brings Sam Bahadur’s total India net collection for 11 days to ₹64 crore, with an India gross collection of ₹71 crore 50 lakh. From overseas markets, the film has collected ₹9 crore 50 lakh. Sam Bahadur’s total worldwide box office collection for the first 11 days is ₹81 crore. The film is expected to have another 10 days to earn before Dunki and Salaar release, with hopes for a lifetime collection exceeding ₹100 crore and a “Clean Hit” tag.
Tiger 3 Final Box Office Collections
Superstar Salman Khan’s Tiger 3, released during Diwali, was expected to earn ₹1200 crore at the box office. However, the film’s collection has concluded, and its total earnings are now available. Tiger 3, an espionage universe film with a budget of ₹300 crore, released in Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu languages, disappointed at the box office. Tiger 3’s total all-India net collection across all three languages is ₹291 crore 74 lakh. Its India gross collection is ₹358 crore. From overseas markets, the film earned a total of ₹124 crore. The total worldwide collection for Tiger 3 is ₹482 crore, falling short of the ₹500 crore mark.
Dunki Overseas Advance Booking Trends
Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki is set to release on December 21st. The film’s overseas advance bookings began three days ago and have received a good response. Dunki has recorded advance bookings of $150,000 from the USA, $40,000 from the UK, $16,000 from Australia, $30,000 from UAE, and $35,000 from Germany, with an additional $2,000 from other countries. In total, Dunki has generated ₹3 crore 31 lakh from worldwide advance bookings.
Salaar Surpasses Dunki in Overseas Advance Bookings
Prabhas’s Salaar is scheduled for release on December 22nd. Its overseas advance bookings started well in advance. Salaar has significantly out-earned Shah Rukh Khan’s Dunki in advance bookings. From the USA, Salaar has collected $85,000, from Australia $30,000, from the UK $5,000, and from other countries $11,000. In total, Salaar has already accumulated ₹9 crore 12 lakh in worldwide advance bookings, more than ₹9 crore, despite being 11 days away from its release.
