Bade Miyan Chote Miyan Records Big First Day Box Office
Akshay Kumar and Tiger Shroff’s film “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” made its release and delivered the biggest bang at the box office on its first day. The film received a tremendous response in India and has started earning strongly overseas. Considered one of the biggest action films of 2024, it garnered entirely positive reviews. The film was released on April 11, Eid, across 4700 screens worldwide. It saw a Pan-India release in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada languages. The total budget for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” is ₹300 crore. Even before its theatrical release, the makers had recovered over ₹200 crore. This pre-release recovery included ₹115 crore from digital rights across all five languages, ₹72 crore from satellite rights across all five languages, and ₹26 crore from music rights acquired by G Music. The total pre-release recovery stood at ₹213 crore.
On its first day, “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” received a strong response in Hindi, with morning shows recording an occupancy of 25-28%. In South Indian languages, the Tamil version received a good response, and the Telugu version showed a somewhat good response. However, despite the presence of a Malayalam superstar, the Malayalam version did not receive a strong response. Early estimates indicate that the film achieved an All India Net Collection of approximately ₹15 crore 50 lakh from all languages on its first day. The India Gross Collection amounted to ₹25 crore 50 lakh. From the overseas market, the film collected ₹6 crore 50 lakh on its opening day. This brings the First Day Worldwide Box Office Collection for “Bade Miyan Chote Miyan” to ₹32 crore. The film’s opening is quite good, and it is expected to achieve destructive earnings in the coming weekend.

The film received quite good reviews from the public and is expected to be a big hit at the box office. “Maidaan” was released across more than 4000 screens worldwide. The total budget for the film is ₹150 crore. Before its release, the makers had already recovered more than ₹100 crore. The pre-release recovery included ₹56.5 crore from digital (OTT) rights, ₹37 crore from satellite (TV) rights, and ₹16 crore from music rights. The total pre-release recovery for “Maidaan” was ₹118 crore.
For its first day, including the paid preview shows, “Maidaan” earned approximately ₹3.5 crore from paid previews. The First Day India Net Collection, including paid preview shows, was in the range of ₹11 crore. The India Gross Collection on the first day was approximately ₹13 crore. From the overseas market, the film collected approximately ₹3 crore on its opening day.
