The Bollywood horror-comedy film Thaama, released on October 21, saw a “dhamakedar” opening on its first day. Despite full positive reviews from audiences and critics, the film made a decent collection in its first week but saw a significant drop in its second week. In its third week, after 17 days in cinemas, the film continues to collect “decently” but not as much as expected.
Made on a budget of ₹145 crore, Thaama recorded an India net collection of ₹143 crore 62 lakh in its initial 15 days. On its 16th day, the film added ₹2 crore 7 lakh to its India box office earnings. The morning shows on the 17th day had occupancy similar to the previous day, but afternoon, evening, and night show bookings experienced a slight drop. As per initial reports, Thaama is estimated to earn ₹1 crore 95 lakh in the Indian market on its 17th day.
With these collections, the film’s all-India net collection for the first 17 days stands at ₹147 crore 64 lakh. The India gross collection for the same period is ₹176 crore 38 lakh. Thaama has achieved a worldwide collection of ₹200 crore 74 lakh in its 17 days, officially crossing the ₹200 crore mark globally on its 17th day.
Jatadhara Advance Booking: First Day Report
The action-adventure fantasy film Jatadhara, set to release on November 7 in Hindi and Telugu, began its advance booking just one day before its release. The movie has not received a significant response in its advance bookings so far.
For its first day, Jatadhara’s Telugu version accumulated ₹81 lakh in advance bookings, while the Hindi version collected ₹27 lakh. This brings the film’s first-day all-India advance booking collection to a total of ₹1 crore 8 lakh.
Haq Box Office: Opening Weekend Advance Booking
Bollywood film Haq, also releasing on November 7, commenced its advance booking one day prior to release. While the movie did not receive a massive response in advance bookings, it has generated good earnings considering the limited booking window. Expectations are that the film may secure a decent opening at the box office.
The advance booking for Haq’s first day (Friday) stands at ₹1 crore 19 lakh. For the second day (Saturday), bookings reached ₹38 lakh, and for the third day (Sunday), they were ₹54 lakh. This means Haq’s advance booking for the opening weekend (first three days) totals ₹2 crore 11 lakh.
Kantara Chapter 1: Five-Week Worldwide Box Office Total
The adventure drama thriller Kantara Chapter 1, a Kannada film released on October 2 in five languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam), has completed five weeks in cinemas, showing record-breaking earnings across all languages. Although the South language versions were released on OTT by the fourth week, the Hindi version remains unreleased on OTT, contributing to strong earnings in the Hindi market during the fifth week. Some audiences continue to watch the film in cinemas in the South.
With a budget of ₹12.5 crore, Kantara Chapter 1 has earned significantly more than its production cost worldwide. The film’s initial three-week India net collection was ₹584 crore 14 lakh. In its fourth week, it added ₹37 crore 60 lakh from all languages at the Indian box office. Even after its OTT release, the film collected ₹13 crore 78 lakh in the Indian market during its fifth week.
Kantara Chapter 1’s all-India net collection over five weeks has reached ₹635 crore 52 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹761 crore 3 lakh. The film’s final worldwide box office collection for five weeks is ₹804 crore.
Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat: 17-Day Worldwide Box Office
The Bollywood romantic drama thriller Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat, released on October 21, started with very few screens due to the release of “Thaama.” Despite this, the film has achieved “stormy earnings” at the box office, which is “praiseworthy.” With a budget of just ₹35 crore, the movie has already collected over ₹100 crore, and its daily collections continue to be “very good.”
In its initial 15 days, Ek Deewani Ki Deewaniyat collected ₹75 crore 13 lakh in the Indian market. On its 16th day, the film earned ₹1 crore 98 lakh at the Indian box office. Baahubali The Epic Re-Release: First Week Worldwide Box Office
The action-drama fantasy film Baahubali The Epic, re-released on October 31 in five languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada), has completed its first week in cinemas. As a re-release, the film achieved “good earnings” worldwide in its first week. The Telugu version showed “dhamakedar earnings,” while the Hindi version collected less due to a lack of proper promotion. Collections from Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and Karnataka were “quite decent.”
