Border 2 Box Office Collection Day 6: Worldwide Earnings and Analysis

Border 2: Record-Breaking First Week Box Office Performance

Sunny Deol’s film Border 2 has completed one week in cinemas, achieving record-breaking worldwide earnings within its first week. The film is expected to continue its strong box office performance in the second, third, and fourth weeks. The lifetime box office collection for Border 2 is projected to surpass Sunny Deol’s previous career films, with its earnings increasing rapidly day by day.

Border 2’s record-breaking collections have demonstrated strong audience support. Sunny Deol previously made a strong comeback with Gadar 2, which was an all-time mega blockbuster at the box office. Following Gadar 2, his film Jaat, despite zero promotion, earned a ‘Hit’ tag at the box office. Border 2, released this week, had a spectacular start at the box office, with collections continuously rising day by day. The film achieved excellent earnings during its first weekend, and its weekday collections have been superb. Within its first week, Border 2’s box office collection has already significantly exceeded its budget. The film is expected to continue its strong earnings next week, with good collections anticipated for several more weeks.

Dhurandhar’s Eight-Week Box Office Journey

While Border 2 made its debut, the film Dhurandhar, with a budget of ₹280 crore and released on December 5, 2025, has also shown remarkable box office performance. Dhurandhar has nearly completed two months in cinemas, with its box office collection already many times its budget. The film achieved record-breaking earnings from its first through seventh weeks. However, with the release of Border 2 in Dhurandhar’s eighth week, its screens in India were reduced to just 400-500, and daily shows were also significantly cut. Despite these challenges, Dhurandhar still managed to earn well in its eighth week.

Dhurandhar’s Total Worldwide Box Office Earnings

Dhurandhar achieved an India net collection of ₹869 crore 80 lakh within its first six weeks. In its seventh week, the film earned ₹16 crore 25 lakh from the Indian market. During its eighth week, Dhurandhar collected an additional ₹6 crore 35 lakh from the Indian market. This brings Dhurandhar’s total India net collection for eight weeks to ₹892 crore 40 lakh. The film’s India gross collection stands at ₹153 crore 3 lakh. In the overseas market, Dhurandhar has collected ₹98 crore 97 lakh and is nearing the ₹300 crore mark internationally. As of now, Dhurandhar’s total worldwide collection for eight weeks is ₹1352 crore. With a budget of ₹280 crore, the film’s worldwide earnings of over ₹1350 crore have made it Bollywood’s biggest blockbuster in history.

Border 2: First Week Milestones and Future Projections

It became the first film of the year to cross the ₹100 crore, ₹200 crore, and now the ₹300 crore marks. The film is expected to easily cross the ₹400, ₹500, and ₹600 crore figures in the coming days. Within just one week, Border 2 has already collected significantly more than its budget. With no major Bollywood releases in the second and third weeks, Border 2 is anticipated to maintain strong collections and dominate the box office.
