Chandu Champion Box Office Update: Steady Growth
Bollywood’s sports drama film Chandu Champion, directed by Kabir Khan and starring Kartik Aaryan, has a budget of 110 crore. Upon its release, the film did not achieve a large opening at the box office. However, due to positive audience reception, the film experienced significant growth in its second and third-day collections, surpassing initial predictions. Even on its fourth day, a working day, the film has maintained a good hold at the box office. This indicates audience approval, suggesting it could become another hit film in Kartik Aaryan’s career. The film’s four-day collections are notably strong, both in India and overseas.
According to producer figures, Chandu Champion recorded an India net collection of ₹5 crore 4 lakh on its first day. The second day saw further growth, with the film earning a robust ₹7 crore 70 lakh. On the third day, a Sunday, the film’s collections were impressive, achieving an India net collection of ₹9 crore 25 lakh. For its fourth day, the film’s occupancy has dropped by only 10% compared to the first day, and Chandu Champion is collecting approximately ₹6 crore.

From overseas markets, the film has generated a total earning of ₹5 crore 80 lakh so far. This brings Chandu Champion’s four-day worldwide box office collection to ₹39 crore 50 lakh, indicating earnings in the range of nearly ₹40 crore globally within four days. The film’s box office run will be influenced by the release of Kalki, as screens for older films are expected to be allocated to Kalki upon its arrival in cinemas.
Kalki Advance Booking: Breaking Records Overseas
Kalki, the most expensive film of 2024, is scheduled for release on June 27. With June 17 as the current date, only 10 days remain until its release. The film is set to release in five languages—Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada—across approximately 10,000 screens worldwide. Its advance booking has been exceptional, particularly for the premiere day and the initial four-day weekend.
Regarding overseas advance booking collections for Kalki:
- For the Premiere Day in USA (June 26), advance booking has reached $1.58 million.
- The booking for Premiere Day plus First Day (June 26 and June 27) in overseas markets stands at $1.75 million.
- The advance booking for the initial four-day weekend (from release until Sunday) in overseas markets has reached $2.10 million.
Converting $2.10 million to Indian currency amounts to ₹17 crore 54 lakh. This means Kalki has generated over ₹17.5 crore in advance booking revenue solely from overseas markets, 10 days prior to its release. Indian advance booking for the film is expected to commence in the next four to five days. A question has been posed whether Prabhas’s Kalki will succeed in breaking the box office records of major Indian blockbusters such as RRR, KGF, Bahubali 2, Pathan, and Jawan.
