Chatrapathi Box Office Budget and Pre-Release Recovery
The film Chatrapathi, starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas, has a budget of 40 crore. This budget includes the film’s cost of production and promotion. Before its theatrical release, the makers recovered a significant portion of the budget through rights sales. The digital rights for Chatrapathi were sold for 12 crore, while the satellite rights fetched 10 crore. Additionally, the music rights contributed 4 crore, bringing the total pre-release recovery to 26 crore before the film’s release in cinemas.
Chatrapathi Screen Count and Opening Day Occupancy
Chatrapathi was released in the Hindi market across only 1200 screens. This limited screen count is partly due to the release of IB 71 in the same week and The Kerala Story continuing to hold a good number of screens from the previous week. Even on its 1200 screens, the film had a low number of shows. On its first day, morning shows recorded an occupancy of 7 to 8 percent. Bookings for the evening and night shows were not particularly strong.
Chatrapathi Day 1 Box Office Collection
According to reports, Chatrapathi collected 2 crore from India on its first day. The film’s worldwide collection on its opening day is approximately 3 crore. This first day worldwide earning of 3 crore is considered a quite low opening for the film. There is an expectation that the film could show a big jump in its box office performance on the following days, Saturday and Sunday. If the film is well-received by audiences, it has the potential to become a box office superhit.
