Chhaava Box Office Collection Day 1: Worldwide Report, Vicky Kaushal & Rashmika Mandanna

Chhaava Box Office: Record-Breaking First Day Collection

The film Chhaava has created history at the box office on its very first day, breaking the opening day record for all Bollywood films released this year. The movie achieved an explosive first-day box office collection in India and also saw excellent earnings in overseas markets.

Chhaava First Day Box Office Performance

Chhaava’s first day India net collection stands at ₹25.50 crore. The film’s first-day India gross collection reached ₹30.70 crore. In overseas markets, the film earned approximately ₹4.70 crore on its opening day, having been released on around 1500 screens internationally. This brings Chhaava’s first-day worldwide box office collection to ₹35.40 crore. With a total budget of just ₹130 crore, the film secured a remarkable worldwide opening of ₹35 crore.

Chhaava Overtakes 2025 Openers

With its first-day India net collection exceeding ₹25 crore, Chhaava has emerged as the biggest opener of 2025. This performance surpasses the previous biggest Bollywood opening of the year, which was held by Akshay Kumar’s film Sky Force, having collected approximately ₹15 crore on its first day. Chhaava’s first-day net collection outpaced Sky Force, marking a significant win at the box office.

Chhaava Screen Count and Occupancy Trends

Chhaava was released on approximately 3500 screens in India. The film experienced strong morning show occupancy, particularly in the Maharashtra region, where it ranged from 70% to 80%, with many shows being housefull. Other states also saw good morning occupancy, averaging 30% to 35%. Afternoon, evening, and night show bookings for the film were reported as solid.

Chhaava Budget, Pre-Release Recovery, and Box Office Benchmarks

The total budget for Chhaava is ₹130 crore. The film’s makers had already recovered a significant portion of this budget prior to its release. Digital rights for the film were sold for ₹75 crore, satellite rights for ₹42 crore, and music rights for ₹10 crore, totaling a pre-release recovery of ₹127 crore.

For Chhaava to be considered a hit in India, it needs to achieve a gross collection of ₹135 crore. To reach superhit status, the film would need to earn ₹185 crore. If the movie collects a gross of ₹250 crore worldwide, it will be classified as a major blockbuster.

Chhaava Box Office Potential

Given its strong opening, if Chhaava continues its performance, it has the potential to become an epic mega-blockbuster. To become a clean hit at the box office, the film needs to earn an additional ₹100 crore after its first-day collection of ₹35 crore.

Initial projections suggest that the film’s weekend box office collection, encompassing Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, could reach approximately ₹50 crore worldwide. This would position the film as a Super Duper Hit within its first three days. Chhaava has strong chances of becoming the first blockbuster of 2025. There is an expectation that the film’s lifetime worldwide box office collection could reach ₹500 crore.
