Article 370 Box Office: A Super Duper Hit Run

Bollywood film Article 370, starring Yami Gautam and Priyamani, which was made on a budget of 20 crore, has completed 8 days in cinemas. The film has shown a strong performance globally. In its first week (7 days), Article 370 collected an India net of 38 crore 55 lakh. On its eighth day, despite a reduction in screen count, the film continued to hold strong, earning an all-India net collection of 2 crore 80 lakh. This brings the film’s total 8-day India net collection to 41 crore 35 lakh, with an India gross collection of 48 crore 95 lakh. The worldwide box office collection for Article 370 over 8 days stands at 56 crore 35 lakh, marking it as a super duper hit with over 56 crore earned globally.

Kaagaz 2 Box Office: Disaster Opening for Drama Film

The Bollywood drama film Kaagaz 2, featuring Anupam Kher, Darshan Kumar, and Nina Gupta, has faced a challenging start at the box office. Released with very low hype and a limited screen count of only 350 across India, the film, which has a budget of 10 crore, recorded a disaster opening. On its first day, Kaagaz 2 collected only 30 lakh, experiencing a completely disaster opening.

Laapataa Ladies Box Office: Decent Start Despite Low Buzz

Produced by Aamir Khan and directed by Kiran Rao, the Bollywood film Laapataa Ladies, despite having a low initial buzz due to a relatively unknown cast (except for Ravi Kishan), has shown a decent opening. The film, made with a budget of just 5 crore, secured a good screen count of approximately 550 screens on its release day in India. With positive early reviews and decent first-day occupancy, Laapataa Ladies collected around 75 lakh on its opening day. Considering its budget, this opening is considered not bad, with potential for the movie to double its budget earnings in the coming days if it resonates with audiences.

Dune Part Two Box Office: Strong India Opening for Hollywood Sequel

Hollywood film Dune Part Two has garnered significant hype in both Indian and worldwide markets, surpassing the buzz for many Indian films released this week. The film, which was released in English, Hindi, and various South Indian languages, and across multiple formats like 3D, IMAX, and 4D, premiered on 1200 screens across India. With high ticket prices, Dune Part Two achieved an India collection of approximately 3 crore on its first day, marking a very impressive opening. The success of its predecessor on OTT platforms contributed to the high anticipation for this sequel, leading to a strong response from the public upon its release.

Operation Valentine Box Office: Worldwide Debut and Budget Recovery

The South Indian film Operation Valentine, starring Varun Tej and Manushi Chhillar, is a Telugu language film also released in a Hindi-dubbed version. Before its release, the film, with a budget of 45 crore, had already recovered 23 crore through satellite rights (12 crore for both languages), digital rights (9 crore), and music rights (2 crore). On its first day, the film’s India net collection across both languages was approximately 2 crore, with an India gross collection of around 2 crore 50 lakh. In the overseas market, Operation Valentine earned 2 crore 50 lakh on its opening day. This brings the film’s first-day worldwide box office collection to approximately 7 crore. While the opening in Telugu states was somewhat less than expected, and the Hindi market did not receive a special screen count, the film’s opening is considered decent, neither exceptionally good nor bad, when compared to its budget.

Crakk Box Office: 8-Day Worldwide Collections Update

Vidyut Jammwal’s action film Crakk, made on a budget of 45 crore, has completed eight days in cinemas, with its second week now underway. The film initially received a tremendous opening on its first day, partly due to special 99-rupee ticket pricing. However, subsequent days saw a decline in collections throughout the first week due to negative reception. With the release of many new Bollywood and Hollywood films this week, Crakk’s screen count has further reduced, significantly impacting its second-week collections. The film collected a worldwide box office of 22 crore 61 lakh in its initial six days. On its seventh day, Crakk added 2 crore 34 lakh to its worldwide collection. The estimated worldwide collection for the eighth day is 1 crore 10 lakh, bringing Crakk’s total worldwide box office collection for the first eight days to 25 crore 5 lakh.
