Deva Box Office: Initial Performance
Shahid Kapoor’s film Deva was released this week and showed strong earnings on its first day at the box office. The film’s collections saw a significant jump on the second day. While there were expectations for a massive opening, Deva‘s first-day collection was slightly lower than anticipated. The film, made on a budget of ₹85 crore, received mixed reviews upon release. On its first day, Deva recorded an India net collection of ₹5 crore 58 lakh, which is considered a decent opening, though a larger opening would have been better given the film’s budget. The second day saw improved occupancy in afternoon, evening, and night shows, attributed to Saturday being a half-holiday. Reports indicate that Deva is collecting approximately ₹6 crore 25 lakh in India net collection on its second day.
Deva Two-Day Total Collections
The total All India net collection for Deva over its first two days stands at ₹11 crore 83 lakh. The India gross collection for the film after two days is ₹14 crore 2 lakh. Deva was released on approximately 1500 screens in the overseas market, where it earned a total of ₹3 crore 23 lakh in two days. Globally, Deva‘s total box office collection after two days is ₹17 crore 25 lakh. For Deva to be declared a hit, it needs to achieve at least ₹150 crore in gross collection worldwide. To be a hit in India, a net collection of around ₹120 crore is required.
Sky Force Continues Strong Run in Second Week
Akshay Kumar’s film Sky Force is currently in its second week at the box office and continues to deliver strong collections worldwide. The film has been making record-breaking earnings globally. Despite facing new competition from Deva and a reduction in screens during its second week, Sky Force has maintained excellent collection performance. The film’s budget is ₹80 crore.
Sky Force Day-Wise and Total Box Office Collections
Sky Force recorded an India net collection of ₹94 crore 20 lakh in its initial six days. On its seventh day, the film earned approximately ₹5 crore 50 lakh at the Indian box office. On the eighth day (second Friday), even with the release of Deva, Sky Force collected ₹4 crore 10 lakh. For its ninth day (Saturday/half-holiday), Sky Force is showing improved occupancy compared to the previous day. Reports suggest Sky Force is collecting approximately ₹5 crore in India net collection on its ninth day. The total India net collection for Sky Force over its first nine days is ₹108 crore 80 lakh. The India gross collection for the film after nine days is ₹128 crore 92 lakh. Globally, Sky Force‘s total box office collection for nine days has reached ₹138 crore 51 lakh.
