Kantara Chapter One, released on October 2, continues its impressive run in its fourth week in cinemas. Despite a significant reduction in screen count, the film’s collections across all languages remain strong. This adventure drama thriller, with a budget of just ₹125 crore, has achieved remarkable success.
The film’s worldwide earnings have surpassed ₹800 crore within 23 days of its release. Specifically, Kantara Chapter One secured an India net collection of ₹572 crore 68 lakh from all languages in its initial 21 days. On its 22nd day, the film added ₹6 crore 93 lakh to its Indian box office net collections. While morning shows on the 23rd day saw a drop in occupancy compared to the previous day, with afternoon, evening, and night show bookings also showing a slight decline, Kantara Chapter One is estimated to earn approximately ₹5 crore 25 lakh on its 23rd day. This brings the initial 23-day all-India net collection to ₹584 crore 86 lakh. The India gross collection has exceeded ₹700 crore, with the total worldwide box office collection reaching ₹820 crore 36 lakh. Kantara Chapter One has emerged as a major blockbusser at the box office.

Ayushmann Khurrana’s Thaama, a horror-comedy romantic film, premiered during the Diwali festival, achieving a sensational opening at the box office. This brings the film’s initial four-day India net collection to ₹68 crore 85 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹82 crore 43 lakh. The worldwide box office collection for Thaama over four days has reached ₹92 crore 16 lakh. The film, which had a budget of ₹15 crore as stated in the transcript, has earned over ₹90 crore in four days. The upcoming Saturday and Sunday are expected to bring a significant boost to its collections.
Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat: Surpassing Budget in Four Days
The romantic drama thriller Ek Deewane Ki Deewaniyat, featuring Harshvardhan Rane, has made a strong impact at the box office. On the fourth day, morning show occupancy saw a slight decline compared to the previous day, and afternoon, evening, and night show bookings were also slightly lower. The film is projected to collect approximately ₹1.5 crore as its India net collection on its fourth day. This results in an initial four-day India net collection of ₹31 crore 23 lakh, and an India gross collection of ₹37 crore 42 lakh.
