GADAR 2: Box Office Collection & Full Movie Review (Sunny Deol)

Gadar 2: A Box Office Sensation

Sunny Deol’s film Gadar 2 has achieved a thumping earning at the box office, proving his dominance. The film’s earnings have been mind-blowing, overshadowing big Bollywood and South Indian films which have completely bitten the dust in comparison. Despite minimal promotion and not being released on a major festival, Gadar 2 completely filled cinemas, resulting in housefull shows. Advance bookings for the film were housefull in multiplexes, and even single screens, which had long-empty seats, were completely packed. Cinema owners were entirely enriched on the first day of its release.

Gadar 1’s Historic Box Office Record

The original Gadar: Ek Prem Katha, released 22 years prior, was the biggest blockbuster film of its time. It sold more than 5 crore tickets, setting a record for the most tickets ever sold for a film. Although many critics and people in Bollywood initially tried to make Gadar: Ek Prem Katha a flop, the audience provided overwhelming support.

Gadar 2 Budget and Pre-Release Earnings

The total budget for Gadar 2 is only 60 crore rupees, as confirmed by the film’s director Anil Sharma. The film managed to earn double its budget even before its theatrical release. Gadar 2’s digital rights were valued at 65 crore rupees, its satellite rights at 40 crore rupees, and its music rights at 15 crore rupees. This totals approximately 130 crore rupees from digital, satellite, and music rights alone. This meant the filmmakers secured a profit of 70 crore rupees even before the film officially hit cinemas.

Gadar 2 First Day Advance Booking Report

Gadar 2 recorded a magnificent first-day advance booking of 23 crore rupees across India. This impressive figure was achieved with ticket prices kept at normal rates, in contrast to other big Bollywood films released this year, which typically had much higher ticket prices.

Gadar 2 First Day Box Office Estimates

Based on the tremendous response observed in advance bookings, Gadar 2 is estimated to achieve an India net collection of approximately 38 crore rupees on its first day. The estimated India gross collection for the opening day stands at 45 crore rupees. Additionally, the film is expected to earn 5 crore rupees from the overseas market. Overall, Gadar 2 is projected to earn approximately 50 crore rupees worldwide on its opening day, with predictions suggesting it could even exceed 50 crore rupees globally.
