Guntur Kaaram Box Office Report: Eight-Day Worldwide Earnings

Mahesh Babu’s action-drama film Guntur Kaaram, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, completed one week in cinemas yesterday and has now entered its second week. Despite receiving mixed reviews, the film leveraged Mahesh Babu’s stardom to achieve the biggest opening of 2024 at the box office. While its screens have been reduced in the second week due to new Telugu and Tamil releases, the film continues to make decent collections.

Guntur Kaaram registered an All India net collection of ₹129 crore 56 lakh in its first six days. On the seventh day, it collected ₹6 crore 23 lakh India net. For its eighth day, the film is performing an All India net collection of ₹5 crore 50 lakh. Although morning show occupancy saw a slight drop compared to yesterday, the collection experienced a significant dip due to reduced screen count. The total All India net collection for Guntur Kaaram over eight days has reached ₹141 crore 29 lakh. Its India gross collection is ₹168 crore 2 lakh. From the overseas market, the film has earned ₹49 crore 65 lakh. Cumulatively, Guntur Kaaram‘s eight-day worldwide box office collection stands at ₹217 crore 86 lakh. With a budget of ₹150 crore, the film has now earned over ₹200 crore. The film is expected to make strong collections on Saturday and Sunday.

HanuMan Box Office Dominance: Eight-Day Collections and Trends

Prasanth Varma’s superhero film HanuMan, starring Teja Sajja, is continuing its spectacular performance at the box office in its second week across India. Released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada – the film is proving to be a significant success in Indian cinema history. Despite its low budget, it has outperformed many major Bollywood films in terms of collections.

In Telugu states, HanuMan‘s screen count actually increased in the second week instead of decreasing, even with new film releases. This has contributed to its continued strong collections. In the Hindi market, despite no prior promotion and competition from other Hindi films, HanuMan achieved strong collections in its first week and is maintaining its impressive performance in the second week against smaller Bollywood releases.

For its first six days, HanuMan garnered an All India net collection of ₹80 crore 30 lakh across all five languages. On the seventh day, the film collected ₹9 crore 63 lakh India net. For its eighth day, HanuMan is making an India net collection of ₹8 crore 50 lakh, with a slight drop in occupancy due to it being a working day. The film’s cumulative eight-day All India net collection for all five languages has reached ₹98 crore 43 lakh. The India gross collection stands at ₹117 crore 35 lakh. In the overseas market, HanuMan has grossed a total of ₹45 crore 57 lakh. This brings the film’s eight-day worldwide box office collection to ₹162 crore 92 lakh, exceeding ₹162 crore globally. With a budget of approximately ₹50 crore, the film has earned more than three times its budget. It is anticipated to continue strong collections throughout this week and in Telugu languages next week. While its screens in the Hindi market will be reduced next week due to the release of Fighter, the film’s lifetime collection is projected to be a minimum of ₹250 to ₹300 crore.
