Kesari Chapter 2 Box Office: Eight-Day Worldwide Collection Surpasses Budget

Bollywood’s historical drama film “Kesari Chapter 2,” starring Akshay Kumar, R Madhavan, and Ananya Pandey, has begun its second week in cinemas. The film, with a budget of ₹80 crore, initially faced a limited release on just 1750 screens across India. However, positive reviews led to an increase in screen count, surpassing 2000 screens in India by the end of its first week. Despite this, the film’s screen count was reduced in its second week due to the release of another Bollywood film.

On its first day, “Kesari Chapter 2” recorded an India net collection of ₹7 crore 84 lakh. Over its initial seven days, the film accumulated ₹46 crore 55 lakh in India net collections. For its eighth day, reports indicate an India net collection of ₹3 crore 25 lakh. This brings the film’s total India net collection over eight days to ₹49 crore 80 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹59 crore 26 lakh. The worldwide box office collection for “Kesari Chapter 2” over eight days has reached ₹80 crore 48 lakh, effectively surpassing its production budget. Occupancy on its second Friday was noted as quite good for morning shows, with decent bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. Collections are projected to see a significant rise on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday.

Ground Zero Day 1 Box Office Collection Report

The historical action thriller “Ground Zero,” directed by Tejas Vijay and featuring Imran Hashmi, Mukesh Tiwari, and Zoya Hussain, was released this week. The film has a total budget of ₹33 crore. It was released on approximately 1500 screens worldwide, with 1250 screens in India and around 250 overseas.

Before its theatrical release, “Ground Zero” saw substantial pre-release revenue, with digital rights selling for ₹12 crore, satellite rights for ₹9 crore, and music rights for ₹6 crore. This resulted in a total recovery of ₹27 crore for the producers prior to its box office run. On its first day, Imran Hashmi’s “Ground Zero” is collecting approximately ₹2 crore 50 lakh as its worldwide box office collection. This marks a relatively low opening for the film, though potential for growth in collections exists if it garners positive public reception in the coming days.

Jaat Box Office: 16-Day Worldwide Earnings and Performance

The Bollywood action film “Jaat,” starring Sunny Deol, Vineet Kumar Singh, and Randeep Hooda, directed by Gopichand Malini, has commenced its third week in cinemas. With a budget of ₹100 crore, the film has already surpassed its budget in worldwide collections. Despite the release of several other major Bollywood films since its debut, “Jaat” has maintained a strong presence at the box office, especially in single-screen cinemas, benefiting from strong mass audience support even as its screen count in multiplexes has decreased.

Due to its Thursday release, the film’s first week spanned eight days, during which it secured an India net collection of ₹62 crore 24 lakh. In its second week, “Jaat” earned ₹19 crore 96 lakh from the Indian market, even with a reduction in screens following the release of “Kesari Chapter 2.” On its third Friday, the 16th day, “Jaat” is collecting ₹1 crore 25 lakh in India net collection, despite further screen reductions due to the release of “Ground Zero.” The film recorded decent occupancy for a third Friday. The total India net collection for “Jaat” over 16 days stands at ₹83 crore 41 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹99 crore 26 lakh. Globally, the film has achieved a worldwide collection of ₹112 crore over 16 days. Collections are expected to see a significant jump on the upcoming Saturday and Sunday. However, with many big Bollywood films slated for release next week, “Jaat”‘s collections are anticipated to continue for about another week before potentially seeing a considerable decline from its fourth week.
