Jawan Shatters Box Office Records
Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan has demolished all box office records. The film achieved the biggest opening of 2023 and has garnered fantastic collections not only in India but also overseas. After an excellent collection on the first day, the film’s second-day collections were also tremendous. On the third day, however, the film completely created a sensation at the box office. While other Bollywood stars’ films take 5 days or a week to earn ₹100 crore at the box office, Shah Rukh Khan’s films are earning over ₹100 crore on the very first day of their release. Eight months prior, Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathaan became Bollywood’s biggest opener by earning ₹106 crore worldwide. No other Bollywood film had broken Pathaan’s opening records in the past eight months, but Shah Rukh Khan has finally broken his own film’s records with Jawan. Jawan’s opening at the box office is significantly higher than Pathaan’s.

The total budget of Jawan is approximately ₹300 crore. However, before its release in cinemas, the film had already earned its budget by selling its digital and satellite rights. Jawan’s digital rights, music rights, and satellite rights were sold for ₹2500 crore.

Upon its release, Jawan made a remarkable collection on its first day. The film’s net collection in India from Hindi language alone was ₹65 crore. The total India net collection for the first day, across all three languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu), stood at ₹75 crore. The first-day worldwide gross collection for Jawan was an impressive ₹129 crore 6 lakh rupees.

On the second day, a slight drop was observed in Jawan’s collections. The film’s net collection from Hindi language on the second day was ₹47 crore. The India net collection for all three languages on the second day amounted to ₹52 crore.
Jawan Third Day Box Office Surge
On the third day, being a Saturday, Jawan again saw a big leap at the box office. The film’s occupancy in the morning shows on the third day was slightly less than the first day but significantly better compared to the second day. The film had already done an advance booking of ₹32 crore for the third day. On its third day, Jawan is collecting approximately ₹55 crore net from Hindi language alone. The India net collection from all three languages (Hindi, Tamil, Telugu) on the third day is approximately ₹60 crore.
Jawan’s Staggering 3-Day Worldwide Total
With its third day performance, Jawan’s Hindi net collection in India over three days stands at ₹167 crore. The all-India net collection across all three languages for three days totals ₹187 crore. The film’s India gross collection over three days is ₹223 crore. From overseas, the film has collected approximately ₹86 crore in these three days. Consequently, Jawan’s total worldwide collection over three days is approximately ₹309 crore.
Jawan Set for Massive 4-Day Global Haul
Shah Rukh Khan’s film has earned over ₹300 crore in just three days. With Sunday still ahead, the film is expected to collect over ₹100 crore worldwide again on Sunday. This projection suggests that Jawan will cross ₹400 crore in collection over four days.
