Its first-day all-India net collection across all five languages reached ₹121 crore, and the all-India gross collection for the first day was ₹156 crore. From overseas markets, the film collected a remarkable ₹56 crore on its opening day. Consequently, Baahubali 2’s first-day worldwide box office collection totaled ₹212 crore, establishing it as a major blockbuster on its release. Baahubali 1 had a worldwide collection of over ₹600 crore and earned ₹100 crore from the Hindi market.
Kalki First Day Box Office Dominance
The film Kalki, made on a budget of approximately ₹650 crore, was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. On its first day, Kalki’s net collection from the North India (Hindi market) was approximately ₹25 crore, making it the biggest Hindi market opener of 2024, surpassing the first-day collection of Fighter. However, Kalki’s first-day Hindi net collection is significantly lower than Baahubali 2 and less than half of KGF 2. The film’s first-day all-India net collection across all five languages amounted to ₹120 crore, with an all-India gross collection of approximately ₹143 crore. In the overseas market, Kalki’s premiere plus first-day gross collection was approximately ₹90 crore.
Kalki Breaks Opening Day Records Globally
Prabhas’s Kalki achieved a first-day worldwide box office collection of ₹213 crore. This figure places Kalki ahead of Baahubali 2 by ₹1 crore and ₹50 crore more than KGF Chapter 2 on their respective opening days. Kalki has surpassed both Baahubali 2 and KGF 2 in terms of opening day worldwide box office collections. The film’s future box office potential is projected to cross ₹1000 crore, potentially reaching ₹1500 crore, ₹1700 crore, or even ₹1800 crore, similar to Baahubali 2’s performance.
