Leo Dominates Box Office as Pan India Superstar Film
Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo has proven him to be a real Pan India superstar by breaking box office records. The film has made record-breaking collections from all languages it was released in during its initial five days. Action-packed film Leo had a budget of 300 crore rupees and was released in five languages: Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada. The film was released on a Thursday, resulting in a four-day weekend.
Leo’s First Weekend Box Office Performance
The film made massive collections across all languages during its four-day weekend. While collections typically see a drop from Monday for Indian films, Leo’s collections also saw a drop but not as significant as anticipated. On its fifth day, which was Monday, Leo continued to make strong box office collections.
State-Wise Box Office: Leo’s Strong Collections
Leo surpassed the 100 crore mark in Tamil Nadu, with its gross collection from the state reaching 106 crore rupees. The film also made massive collections from the Telugu states (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana). Despite competition from Balakrishna’s ‘Bhagavanth Kesari’ and Ravi Teja’s ‘Tiger Nageswara Rao’, Leo grossed 40 crore rupees from the Telugu states in its first weekend. From Kerala, the film made a total gross collection of 32.30 crore rupees in four days. In Karnataka, even with competition from Shiva Rajkumar’s ‘Ghost’, Leo grossed 27.50 crore rupees in four days.
North India and Overseas Box Office for Leo
In North India, Leo faced competition from ‘Ganapath’, yet Leo’s Hindi dubbed version earned more. Including its Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions, Leo grossed 15.50 crore rupees from North India. Leo’s initial four-day All India gross collection stood at 221 crore rupees. From the overseas market, Leo grossed 139 crore rupees in four days (first weekend).
Leo’s Four-Day Worldwide Box Office Success
Leo’s four-day worldwide gross collection reached 360 crore rupees. Within four days, Leo became Thalapathy Vijay’s highest-grossing film.
Day 5 Box Office: Leo’s Continued Strong Performance
On its fifth day, Leo’s occupancy was around 50% compared to the previous day, making an India collection of approximately 20 crore rupees. The worldwide gross collection for the fifth day is approximately 30 crore rupees.
Leo’s Five-Day Worldwide Total Collection
Leo’s total worldwide box office collection within the initial five days reached 390 crore rupees. It is confirmed that Leo’s worldwide gross collection will cross the 400 crore rupee mark soon, and it might even reach 500 crore rupees in the worldwide market within the next four to five days.
