Leo Box Office Collection Day 1: Global Figures for Vijay's Blockbuster Opening

Bhagavanth Kesari Box Office Collection Update

The Telugu film Bhagavanth Kesari, with a budget of ₹100 crore, had a bumper opening on its first day at the box office. However, the film’s collection saw a significant drop on the second day. Bhagavanth Kesari recorded an All India Net Collection of ₹24 crore on its first day. On the second day, the film’s occupancy dropped by 70% compared to the first day, resulting in an India Net Collection of just ₹8 crore.

In its initial two days, Bhagavanth Kesari’s India Net Collection stands at ₹32 crore. The film’s India Gross Collection for the first two days is ₹38 crore. From the overseas market, the film earned ₹13 crore. With these figures, Bhagavanth Kesari’s estimated World Wide Gross Collection for the first two days is ₹51 crore. Despite the second-day drop, the film is expected to see a big jump at the box office on Saturday and Sunday.

Jawan Continues Strong Box Office Run

Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan’s film Jawan has entered its seventh week, with today marking its seventh Friday. The film continues to perform decently, with approximately 200 to 250 screens still available and receiving good show timings.

Jawan’s total India Net Collection in its initial five weeks was ₹629 crore 63 lakh. In its sixth week, the film added ₹11 crore 72 lakh to its collections. On its seventh Friday, Jawan is estimated to collect approximately ₹5 lakh in India Net Collection. This brings Jawan’s total India Net Collection to ₹641 crore 85 lakh. The film’s India Gross Collection stands at ₹765 crore, and it has earned ₹385 crore from the overseas market. Globally, Jawan’s World Wide Gross Collection has surpassed ₹1150 crore, making it an all-time mega blockbuster.

Tiger Nageswara Rao First Day Collection

The pan-India film Tiger Nageswara Rao, released in five languages including Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada, has seen its maximum earnings primarily from its Telugu version. The film faced competition from Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo in Tamil and from Ghost in Kannada. Tiger Nageswara Rao was made on a total budget of ₹55 crore.

Before its theatrical release, the film’s makers had already recovered ₹47 crore from the sale of various rights: digital rights were sold for ₹22 crore, satellite rights for ₹19 crore, and music rights for ₹6 crore. On its first day, Tiger Nageswara Rao recorded an All India Net Collection of approximately ₹12 crore 50 lakh across all five languages. The film’s India Gross Collection for the first day was ₹15 crore, and it collected ₹3 crore from the overseas market. Consequently, Tiger Nageswara Rao’s First Day World Wide Gross Collection stands at ₹18 crore, marking a decent opening.

Ganapath Box Office Opening

The Bollywood film Ganapath, directed by Vikas Bahl, was released pan-India in approximately four to five languages. Despite positive reviews from both the public and critics, Ganapath did not achieve a big opening at the box office. This was largely due to the film’s release alongside seven to eight other films, resulting in fewer screens for Ganapath.

The total budget for Ganapath is ₹150 crore. Prior to its release, the film’s makers had already recovered over ₹113 crore from various rights sales: digital rights for all languages were sold for ₹65 crore, satellite rights for ₹38 crore, and music rights for ₹10 crore. On its first day, Ganapath recorded an estimated World Wide Gross Collection of approximately ₹8 crore, which is considered a comparatively low opening. However, with positive audience reception, the film is expected to show significant growth on Saturday and Sunday.

Leo Records Massive Two-Day Worldwide Collection

Thalapathy Vijay’s film Leo has achieved the biggest opening for an Indian cinema film this year in the worldwide market, surpassing Shah Rukh Khan’s Jawan and Prabhas’ Adipurush. Released in five languages – Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, and Kannada – Leo was made with a budget of ₹250 crore.

On its first day, Leo secured an All India Net Collection of ₹68 crore across all five languages. Although the film received mixed reviews, the collections on the second day, while dropping, were not as significant as some might have anticipated. On its second day, Leo managed an All India Net Collection of ₹40 crore, despite an earlier expectation of ₹50 crore, as it did not see a substantial growth in afternoon and evening shows.

The film’s cumulative All India Net Collection for the initial two days stands at ₹108 crore. The India Gross Collection for the first two days is ₹129 crore. From the overseas market, Leo has earned approximately ₹116 crore in two days. With these figures, Leo’s estimated World Wide Gross Collection for the first two days is ₹245 crore, bringing it close to the ₹250 crore mark worldwide. The film is highly anticipated to receive a significant boost in box office numbers on Saturday and Sunday.
