Mirai Box Office Performance: Surpassing Expectations in 3 Days

The Pan-India film Mirai has achieved a “superhit” status at the box office within just three days, earning several times its budget. The film, released in Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Kannada, and many other languages, showed record-breaking earnings in South languages from day one. Significantly, its Hindi version also saw collections increase from the first day to the second, and from the second day to the third. This boost in Hindi collections followed super positive reviews. The film’s budget is ₹60 crore.

In its Hindi version, Mirai collected ₹1 crore 70 lakh net on its first day. The second day witnessed an approximate 200% growth, with collections reaching ₹3 crore 58 lakh net in the Hindi market. Reports indicate that on its third day, Mirai is estimated to earn around ₹5 crore 25 lakh net from the Hindi version alone, driven by significantly better occupancy in morning shows compared to the first two days, and solid afternoon, evening, and night show bookings. This brings Mirai’s total Hindi net collection for the first three days to ₹10 crore 53 lakh, with a Hindi gross collection of ₹12 crore 61 lakh.

Across all languages, Mirai’s first-day India net collection was ₹13 crore 27 lakh. A significant growth was observed on the second day, with the film earning ₹14 crore 61 lakh net. On its third day, Mirai is estimated to achieve an India net collection of approximately ₹17 crore 50 lakh, showing substantial growth in morning shows in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, alongside robust bookings for later shows. The film’s total three-day all-India net collection stands at ₹45 crore 38 lakh, with an India gross collection of ₹54 crore 42 lakh, surpassing ₹50 crore in gross collections within three days.

The film’s overseas gross collection has reached ₹19 crore 73 lakh. With this, Mirai’s worldwide box office collection across all languages for the first three days totals ₹74 crore 15 lakh, exceeding its ₹60 crore budget.

Kishkinda Puri: Three-Day Telugu Box Office Report

The horror thriller film Kishkinda Puri, directed by Kaushik and starring Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Anupama Parameswaran, was made on a budget of ₹23 crore. Released exclusively in Telugu, the film received super positive reviews from the public. It achieved a decent opening on its first day, followed by excellent collections on its second and third days. Despite being released at the same time as Mirai, which resulted in fewer screens, the film delivered strong earnings. Plans are in place for a Hindi release in one to two weeks.

Kishkinda Puri’s India net collection on its first day was ₹3 crore 11 lakh in the Telugu language. The film maintained a good hold on its second day, earning ₹3 crore 42 lakh. On its third day, the film is estimated to collect around ₹3 crore 85 lakh net, with occupancy better than the second day in morning shows and solid bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. This brings Kishkinda Puri’s total India net collection for the initial three days to ₹8 crore 38 lakh. The India gross collection stands at ₹10 crore 5 lakh.

The film has also earned a decent ₹2 crore 76 lakh from overseas markets. Consequently, Kishkinda Puri’s total worldwide collection for the first three days amounts to ₹12 crore 81 lakh.

Demon Slayer: Strong Three-Day India Box Office Performance

The action-adventure anime film Demon Slayer, released in five languages – Japanese, English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu – across 1700 screens in India, had an explosive first day at the Indian box office. Its collections remained excellent on the second day and improved further on the third day, accumulating a substantial collection within three days.

The film’s total India net collection for the first two days was ₹26 crore 21 lakh. On its third day, Demon Slayer is estimated to collect approximately ₹14 crore 50 lakh net, driven by morning show occupancy that surpassed both the first and second days, alongside solid bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. The Bollywood action thriller Baaghi 4, starring Tiger Shroff, Sanjay Dutt, Harnaaz Sandhu, and Sonam Bajwa, is in its second week in cinemas. Made on a budget of ₹80 crore, the film saw good earnings in its first week. While the film’s overseas earnings were good in the first week, they significantly declined in the second week, totaling ₹11 crore 63 lakh in overseas gross collection to date. Cumulatively, Baaghi 4’s worldwide collection for the first 10 days has reached ₹84 crore 10 lakh, exceeding its ₹80 crore budget.

Jolly LLB 3 Advance Booking Collections

This brings the total weekend advance booking collection for the first three days (Friday, Saturday, Sunday) to ₹5 crore 46 lakh.
