Jailer Box Office Performance: First Day Records
Rajinikanth’s film Jailer achieved record-breaking earnings on its first day at the box office. The film’s first-day early estimate collection from Tamil Nadu registered a gross of ₹35 crore. From the Telugu State (Andhra Pradesh and Telangana), Jailer collected approximately ₹10 crore. Karnataka State contributed a gross collection of ₹15 crore, while Kerala State added approximately ₹5 crore to its first-day earnings.
The first day All India gross collection for Jailer stood at approximately ₹65 crore. Furthermore, the film earned approximately ₹25 crore from the overseas market on its first day. In total, Jailer’s first-day early estimate worldwide collection reached approximately ₹90 crore, making it a significant start globally. The film saw housefull boards on its first day across all four South Indian states: Tamil, Telugu, Karnataka, and Kerala.
Gadar 2 Advance Booking Creates History
Sunny Deol’s film Gadar 2 demonstrated strong performance, giving tough competition. Gadar 2 broke major Bollywood records during its advance booking phase. The film’s first-day advance booking alone accumulated ₹19 crore lakh, nearly ₹20 crore. For its second day (Saturday), the booking reached ₹5 crore 65 lakh. The third day (Sunday) booking was ₹7 crore 25 lakh.
The total All India advance booking for Gadar 2 for its initial three-day weekend amounted to ₹32 crore 62 lakh, exceeding ₹32 crore. This advance booking collection for Gadar 2 surpassed the first-day collections of many large-budget films released earlier in the year. The film is set for a historic opening at the box office and is poised to become the biggest blockbuster of Sunny Deol’s career.
Bholaa Shankar Advance Booking & Opening Trend
Chiranjeevi’s film Bholaa Shankar secured good earnings. However, the box office response received by Bholaa Shankar is considerably less than that of his previous films. Bholaa Shankar has been released exclusively in the Telugu language. The film’s All India advance booking for its three-day weekend registered ₹10 crore 30 lakh. Its overseas advance booking collected ₹7 crore 50 lakh.
The weekend worldwide total advance booking earnings for Bholaa Shankar reached ₹17 crore 80 lakh, which is noted as a comparatively low collection. In contrast, Chiranjeevi’s previous film, Waltair Veerayya, released a few months prior, achieved record-breaking earnings on its first day. The response for Bholaa Shankar is significantly lower than that of his preceding film.
OMG 2 Advance Booking: A Decent Start
Akshay Kumar’s film OMG 2 garnered good earnings from its advance bookings. The first-day advance booking for OMG 2 totaled ₹3 crore 85 lakh. For the second day (Saturday), the booking was ₹2 crore 11 lakh. The third day (Sunday) booking stood at ₹2 crore 68 lakh.
The three-day (weekend) advance booking collection for OMG 2 reached ₹8 crore 64 lakh, described as a decent number. OMG 2 received a limited number of screens due to the significant presence of Gadar 2. Despite the major challenge posed by Gadar 2, OMG 2 is anticipated to secure a decent opening at the box office.
