Raid 2 Box Office: 18-Day Worldwide Collection Report
Bollywood’s drama thriller film, Raid 2, directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and starring Ajay Devgan, Riteish Deshmukh, and Vaani Kapoor, is currently in its third week in cinemas. Despite a significant reduction in screen count compared to its first week, the film continues to demonstrate strong box office performance.
With a budget of ₹55 crore, Raid 2 has already surpassed ₹200 crore globally, earning it the “blockbuster” tag. The film is expected to continue its successful run, with collections anticipated to increase further in the coming days.
As of its initial 16 days, Raid 2 had accumulated an India net collection of ₹143 crore 22 lakh. On its 17th day, a Saturday, the film performed exceptionally well, adding ₹3 crore 85 lakh to its India net collection. With Sunday being the 18th day, the film saw a considerable jump in occupancy, with strong responses in morning shows and solid bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows. Preliminary reports indicate that Raid 2 is estimated to earn approximately ₹5 crore 25 lakh in the Indian market on its 18th day.
This brings Raid 2‘s cumulative 18-day All India Net Collection to ₹152 crore 32 lakh, successfully crossing the ₹150 crore mark in India. The film’s India Gross Collection for the same period stands at ₹181 crore 26 lakh. Globally, Raid 2 has achieved a worldwide collection of ₹201 crore 40 lakh in 18 days, officially cementing its status as a major blockbuster at the box office, having earned more than ₹201 crore against its ₹55 crore budget.
Mission Impossible 8 India Box Office Performance
Hollywood’s action-packed film Mission Impossible 8, featuring Tom Cruise, was released in India across 1500 screens in four languages: Hindi, English, Tamil, and Telugu. The film recorded a record-breaking opening on its first day at the Indian box office.
Following decent reviews, the movie experienced a significant surge in its second-day collections, performing better than initial expectations in India. On its opening day, Mission Impossible 8 garnered an India net collection of ₹17 crore 68 lakh across all languages, marking a tremendous opening.
For its second day, a Sunday, the film received a much better response in its morning shows compared to the first day. Bookings for afternoon, evening, and night shows were also considerably higher than on its debut day. Current reports suggest that Mission Impossible 8 is collecting approximately ₹19 crore 50 lakh in India net collection on its second day.
This brings Mission Impossible 8‘s total All India Net Collection for the first two days to ₹37 crore 15 lakh. The film’s India Gross Collection for the initial two days is ₹44 crore 20 lakh. The official worldwide box office collections for the film are yet to be released and are expected in two days.
Romeo S3 Box Office: 3-Day India Collection
Bollywood’s action thriller Romeo S3, directed by Guddu Dhanoa and starring Thakur Anoop Singh and Palak Tiwari, was released with a budget of ₹10 crore. The film premiered on a relatively low screen count of just 450 screens, contributing to a slow start at the box office.
Despite the limited screen presence, Romeo S3 showed an upward trend in its collections, with earnings improving from the first day to the second, and further increasing on the third day. On its opening day, Romeo S3 secured an India net collection of ₹61 lakh.
The film’s second day saw a slight growth in its earnings, with Romeo S3 collecting ₹73 lakh from the Indian market. The third day, a Sunday, benefited from better occupancy compared to the first and second days. Preliminary reports indicate that Romeo S3 is estimated to collect approximately ₹80 lakh in India on its third day.
Consequently, Romeo S3‘s cumulative three-day India Net Collection stands at ₹2 crore 14 lakh. The film’s India Gross Collection for the initial three days is ₹2 crore 53 lakh, meaning the movie has earned over ₹2.5 crore in the Indian market within three days. Considering its ₹10 crore budget, the film’s earnings are deemed decent. The movie’s lifetime box office collection will depend on its sustained performance in the coming days.
Thug Life: Upcoming Release Box Office Expectations
Mani Ratnam sir’s action-drama film Thug Life, starring Kamal Haasan, STR, and Trisha Krishnan, is set to be released on June 5. While primarily a Tamil film, it is also scheduled for release in Hindi.
The film is expected to achieve a magnificent opening and a blockbuster lifetime collection in Tamil Nadu. However, its performance in the Hindi market and whether it will make an impact there remains to be seen.
